cruise101 Posted October 19, 2023 #1 Share Posted October 19, 2023 Thought it'd be interesting to poll folks on this board for their favourite drinks (alcoholic & NON) on HAL ships. If you know the main components of your favourite drink please list those, as it would further add to the knowledge share. Thanks & looking forward to an interesting read.
crystalspin Posted October 19, 2023 #2 Share Posted October 19, 2023 Pain Killer in the Crows Nest. It's rum and pineapple juice and coconut cream with a dash of nutmeg... which makes your brain think of egg-nog! 4
Blackduck59 Posted October 19, 2023 #3 Share Posted October 19, 2023 I like the "Pusser's Painkiller" I like to hold the nutmeg. When we were on Zaandam I ordered it in other bars than just the "Crows Nest" I ordered it in the Ocean Bar and Mix. My wife likes the Bahama Mama.
Hobar Posted October 19, 2023 #4 Share Posted October 19, 2023 (edited) Will be a HAL first timer. Can I order off the drink menu list, such as a Vesper? Edited October 19, 2023 by Hobar

If they have the ingredients, they will make it for you! Lillet Blanc and vodka plus the gin seems to be the key for making a martini to a Vesper! But you answered my question - that I can get a drink off the menu. Thank you. Edited October 19, 2023 by Hobar

Overhead Fred Posted October 19, 2023 #10 Share Posted October 19, 2023 A dose of "Penicillin" is good for what ails you! "Blue Florida", "Hemingway Daiquiri", and "Tuscan Lemon Drop" are also quite nice.
Cruise Suzy Posted October 19, 2023 #11 Share Posted October 19, 2023 Between 10am and 6pm on a Caribbean cruise I'm seldom without a non-alcoholic Pina Colada. No way I could drink that many "high-octane" ones and stay upright!

Djptcp Posted October 19, 2023 #14 Share Posted October 19, 2023 Frozen Mango Dacquiri in the Sea View Bar. Also, in the Tamarind the Emperor's something - can't recall the whole name, but have it every time in the Tamarind. Will be sailing on the Rotterdam on Sunday - looking forward to those cocktails!! Dobby36 Posted October 19, 2023 #15 Share Posted October 19, 2023 I like the grapefruit cosmo from the Billboard menu. But I’m more often found having a top shelf bourbon on the rocks. From the other lines I’ve been on, I’m always impressed with their American bourbon selection (and for now, remaining within the drink package limits!)

gknep Posted October 19, 2023 #19 Share Posted October 19, 2023 Slainte Margarita: Irish Whiskey, Cointreau, Lemon juice, Agave Syrup. There used to be a martini variant on the menu that they will still make on request. It has gin, vodka, and Grand Mariner in place of vermouth.
yerdua Posted October 19, 2023 #20 Share Posted October 19, 2023 Ritz cocktail from Pinnacle.Grill (have also requested and received it in MDR). Not too boozy, not too fruity, not too sweet. Cognac, triple sec, maraschino liqueur, lemon juice, prosecco. Shaken. Not stirred!

Rare POA1 Posted October 20, 2023 #22 Share Posted October 20, 2023 Maker's Mark on the rocks. If they are out of ice, that's fine. To improve it, I'd make it a double. 2
