admittedly i am not really swayed by ships when booking cruises.  its more bang for the buck....ports of call.....departure port flight cost....etc.  i have really enjoyed every ship we have cruise on, big or small.

What is the next CCL ship you want to book?

I was looking at Mardi Gras or Celebration Black Friday deals but none fit our 2024 availability.

(an odd aside, probably my favorite cruise ship is routinely bashed in the cruise community.  NCL Epic.  granted, the cabin bathroom setup is WEIRD and not my fave)

We are on MG again in 3 weeks and have 2 cruises booked for 2024 on Sunshine before she leaves Charleston.  We will book Celebration if we decide not to do a land vacation in 2024.  We are also in process of booking something in Europe for 2025 (DS graduates from college and is on his way to law school) but obviously will take whatever ship is do that sailing.

We are also looking at RCCL for Europe as we have not sailed with them in a couple of years and I was sent some decent Black Friday deals today.

What I want to book and what I actually booked are two different things. 😂

But I did just book the Paradise for December 2024.  I'm currently getting my doctorate and vacation times/funds are slim the next three years but we decided to plan now and do a short cruise for the holidays next year.  Timing worked out well too, as it's between semesters plus our jobs slow down this time of year.

We typically prefer smaller ships so I don't mind the Paradise.  Our last three cruises went to the Bahamas so I'm beyond ready to revisit the Western ports.  However at some point, I'd like to try the Celebration or Mardi Gras for a different vibe even though they're bigger ships.  I don't mind the older designs but I am curious how the newer ones feel.

I was just on the Magic last week and I will be on the Dream in 7 weeks. After that, I don't have any Carnival cruises booked, and I am unlikely to book one any time soon. My booking preferences are similar to yours, and as good a cruise line as I think Carnival is, I can't justify the prices they're asking me to pay three days.

I'm avoiding the XL class ships because I think they will be too big for me. I suspect eventually I'll get on one.

The removal of casino bars and all video slots in the casino has dampened my excitement about going on any one of them.

Booked on Venezia for 2024 since it's only an hour drive to port and I do like leaving from NY.

I will have to find something else to do on the ship this time......LOL

The Heroes bar is right next to the entrance of the Casino, pretty sweet spot! Also, there are a handful of the older slots in there. The Venezia is a perfect ship to go out of NYC.

There is a difference between the ship(s) I WANT to book next and what I WILL book next! lol I really want to get on Mardi Gras/Celebration/Jubilee sometime soon!
But lately we’ve been more limited to shorter cruises.

I currently have a cabin on hold on the Sunrise to Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios for a 5 day fall break cruise next October with my kiddo and sister - girls cruise!!! We can’t leave dad home alone to fend for himself for too long! 😉😜🤣

For me and the kid, 5 days is a good length! It’s almost a week with our travel day before. And our last cruise with the kid was on the Sunshine, which she loved. Sunrise is similar so it should be a great option for us!

I'm more of a last minute booker so don't plan too far ahead. I can only do 2 cruises a year so booking NCL Encore to Alaska for May 2024 and then hoping to book Venezia to Bermuda for August 2024.

Loved Celebration so Jubilee is on my list and maybe also another MSC cruise.

Celebration up next (second time on her), then back on the Pride for the repositioning from Tampa to Baltimore, then Venezia repositioning from NYC to Florida.  I really don’t book for the ship, but rather where I want to go and for how long.
