How can I ensure I get double the loyalty points

Recommended Posts

We are two couples booked for a B2B

To get this deal we had to book the 2 girls in one room and the 2 guys in the other ( one gambler per room)

once onboard I know we can go to customer service and swap rooms

my question is who get the points for Junior Suite

the couple who originally had the room or the couple using it

or the person who paid for the upgrade?
thanks for your help

The person whose name is on the booking for the JS will get the points

Like Ellen said, the people who are in the JS at boarding will get the double points.  Nothing guests services does will change that.  You will have to sacrifice the points for playing around with the names to get a better deal financially.

🥺 sad since I am the one who paid for the upgrade with my credit card

Why can you not then take the JS, since the upgrade was paid for by you, and allow the other couple to take the second cabin?

If the two adults are linked as a couple in the C&A Society, the two have the same points.  An increase for one is an increase for each.

Because I wanted both cruises to be on my loyalty

i need to increase my loyalty to move up to D+

If your husband is in the JS he will get the points along with your friend..you will not get the points but when you travel agin he will be ahead of you by the number of points he got for the doubled points but they match his status..just not the points..so in all probability he will be D+ sooner but you will get the perks when you are with him

This!

The two passengers in the JS will get double points.  The two passengers in the non suite cabin will not get double points.  However, as long as they are linked as a couple with their partner [in the JS] they will share their status.

I definitely will take the JS i want the points also 😃

To reiterate and emphasis what others have stated, the two people with their names on the JS booking will get the double points. Once you are on the ship you can change who is staying in the two cabins you mentioned, but this will have no impact on who gets the double points for the JS.

The important factor is do you and your husband currently have the same number of points? The person booked in JS will get the points but you will share status assuming you are linked.

Since several people have mentioned this point in this thread, in my opinion RCI allowing status matching for spouses, significant other (if same address), kids, etc. is the biggest weakness in their loyalty program.

Assuming the girls are in the JS, then they get the double points and their husbands in the other cabin inherit the points anyway via their linked status.

There are two points totals in the C&A system.
One is individual and one is Relationship. The one you see in your account is the Relationship total, which is the higher one.

Make sure before you cruise YOU are booked in the JS is what they are saying.

Whomever is booked in the JS gets the extra loyalty pt.

One leg is myself and my friend 6 days and the second leg is my hubby and his friend that are booked BUT we plan on going to costumer service and swapping rooms but will they give the points to the ppl actually in the room?

after reading all the responses ( THANKS)

should I mention the room swap at check in at the port ?
