Harmony - No more separate event invites

Idk if this has been covered as I'm at sea. Last 2 weeks we had the usual little invites to top tier, lunch, whatever. This week we have one piece of paper with the backside covering the online benefits. The front up in the left hand corner is a "You're Invited" SEPARATE INVITATIONS WILL NOT BE SENT FOR THESE EVENTS.

I missed it. Under the dry cleaning prices paper. Turn around day the thing that you ding your new card back in broke and we were stuck in a conference room until just after 10:30 am turn around morning, customs was long gone, b2b lunch at 11:30 etc is my excuse, busy meeting friends. My friends boarding from the terminal texted they were onboard before I was able to ding my new card to get to my new cabin and unpack. So it's not like I was sitting in my cabin turnaround morning and day.

Just talked to a diamond who said she called and was told she wasnt a high enough level for anything including top tier, and didnt have this paper. I asked my cabin steward who didnt know why no invite pieces of paper as usual. I swung by after izumi dinner boarding day and asked the loyalty ambassador who said "didnt you read your letter".

This is how you now get your 340 pt D+ lunch invite, top tier and a tour invite.

25 years loyal.... and your reward for loyalty is more removal of benefits!

I think they'd prefer it if less people turned up. Then they could cancel them citing "numbers declined so much it was pointless to continue to run them"

Interesting.  On Jewel last month they collected our invites to Cheers with an Officer when we arrived.  They also checked us off a list.    We're on Wonder in Jan so we'll see if they're doing the same.  I'm sure it's going to be fleet wide, if it isn't already.

since when is Diamond not enough for Top Tier??

I think she confused them saying diamond and they asked which level and she said her casino level, in answer. Maybe confused them I told her. Maybe they are confused as diamonds still cant enter crown lounge during happy hour. Clearly the crew is confused. She didnt know what they meant which level of diamond.

Yes now for lunch and top tier they checked our names off a list to let us in. I think this went out to everyone and left it up to them to figure out. We had people arriving to lunch who just wanted to eat in Mdr. They just told them Mdr lunch deck 3. We had deck 2.

I agree they will be saving trees fleet wide is why I posted this.

That's how I took it. Saving trees. Now that I know it's ok. But people are confused.

I suspect coming to a ship near you.

I'm boarding Sunday and am going to organize a rally.  What should be our chant?

"No paper, No peace!", or

"No relaxation without invitation!"

On our last two cruises, Odyssey TA in October and Oasis last week,  Diamonds were not invited to the top tier.   I thought maybe it was due to large number of D+ and pinnacles on the TA as it was a packed audience in the theater but the Aqua theater on Oasis had lots of empty seats.  And they were checking cards as we entered.

Thank you for letting us know.  Cheers with an Officer has always been our favorite event and I wouldn’t be too happy missing the invite.  I will make sure to read the paper thoroughly.

And other ships it's been day 3. This is the first ship it's been day 2, though it's been awesome. Too many pinnacles I keep hearing to share a dining room, each on a different side. Though pinnacles dropped significantly this week in number.

2 sides paper, so flip it over. Only other full size paper was the shows.

More and more ships are sailing with half the guests being D and above so maybe they've decided top tier should really mean the top and not the top half.  I know on Jewel in Oct/Nov (b2b) while we didn't go D were invited but half the ship qualified.  As I said we'll be on Wonder in a month and we'll see what changes have happened.

Not sure who she called, but that is definitely  wrong info.  D's are invited to the top tier.  And, not sure why she had no benefits paper.  Anyone who has sailed once is at least gold, and gets that paper. Now, if people read it....that is another issue.

Tour invite?  That would be great!  Would love to see them again.  What tour did you get?

I know you asked firefly, but on Jewel in Oct/Nov we were offered a galley tour. That's my least favorite tour so we didn't go.

There were no individual invites on our Wonder cruises 5 weeks ago or last week.  The notices are on the back of the “welcome aboard” letter, though that letter was not in our cabin either cruise.   We picked it up at the LA desk.  There was an obvious mail delivery problem as items (shore ex) with a different, nearby cabin number and dissimilar name was in our cabin…oops.

Voicemail reminders were left by LA on cabin phones the evening before the events.

Thanks. Were you offered a tour based upon your accommodations (suite) or C&A  status? Upper tier diamond plus (340+) and pinnacles used to receive tours, but have not since return after Covid.
