I guess I'm a purist.  These don't appeal to me at all.  When I want pizza, I want the traditional red sauce, cheese, etc.

Me, too.  Those look awful

Sorry, I have to snicker - you do realize the "purist" pizza most Americans call traditional is nothing like "real" Italian pizza?  And a red sauce isn't required, nor is a flat layer of shredded cheese normal.  Shared from this website (and this isn't even a "real Italian Pizzeria in Italy", they're in Rochester, NY):

You may be surprised to find that small discs of thinly sliced pepperoni aren’t on the menu at an authentic Italian pizzeria. Instead, a generous portion of prosciutto, large chunks of mozzarella, a variety of hand-picked herbs and greens such as rosemary, basil, arugula, and capers. Eggplant, garlic, and green peppers are also popular Italian choices for pizza toppings.

These new offerings from Carnival look delicious to me.  But I like Hawaiian pizza, or adding jalapenos, so what do I know?

So are all the new menu items from here on out going to be upcharges?

The new, included, MDR menus are awesome, doncha think? Steakhouse selections are still available for an upcharge, and have been for years.

I saw this on dream. After all the fuss over on rcl when pax were asked about paying for pizza, and pizza gate, I had to laugh to see carnival offering pizza for a price. I just ordered the free pizza, but did see these 2 were offered. No one is forcing people to buy them. Dont see why the fuss over on rcl and resistance.

The free pizza was still awesome.

Choice is good.

I've said it before, but they never listen.

New York, Chicago, Detroit, etc. pizza isn't pizza. It is New York style pizza, etc.

Looks like California Pizza Kitchen. My favorite is the Arugula and Prosciutto. Now if Carnival added pineapple it would be the trifecta of yumminess!!🍍👍😁

Prosciutto on a Margarita pizza with Burrata instead of Mozz. Yum!!!

Take the bbq off the korean steak and take the teriyaki off the chicken then combine them to make a bbq chicken pizza. Throw on some red onions then we will be talkin'!

I love BBQ chicken pizza with pineapple.  No red onions for me, but I will take a few green peppers.  Hawaiian pizza holds another place in my stomach.  😀

Of  course I am referring to American pizza which is what the majority of Americans are familiar with.  I had an "authentic" Italian pizza once made by an Italian neighbor.   It was more like flat bread with olive oil, garlic and some kind of green.  I think it might have had a shaving or two of some kind of hard cheese.   It was delicious,  but not something I would call a pizza.

Sadly my most recent Carnival cruise was one of the last on the Magic before the new menus debuted. The food was really not good on that cruise. I am looking forward to cruising again now that the new menus are fleetwide. But nothing booked at this time.

Oooh, intriguing! I'm looking forward to getting tipsy on big drinks with little umbrellas and going absolutely Hasslehoff on some bulgogi pizza as a midnight snack when I'm on the Dream in a couple weeks.

Where have you been?  No more tiny umbrellas.

MSC is the best when it comes to pizza.  I'd never bother with pizza on another ship.  I'm an old NYer....I remember when pizza was pizza.  Ever since the "little old Italian guy" on my corner retired I've had to compromise and make due with what millenials consider pizza.

Thanks for the heads up. On the Panorama now and had no idea this was an option, just checked the Hub app and it is. I am definitely going to order the teriyaki pizza tomorrow, we always order delivery for pizza anyway so the cost is the same.

Not Mystic? We have family in the area and we've never made it there. Maybe one day.

Nah,   The holy trio.  Pepe’s, Sally (400 yards apart) and Modern Apizza (our fav), all downtown New Haven. Worth the drive, do it.  In the summer, I can escort you 😉

Excellent info to have, thanks! Knowing it's the same price delivered makes it a sure bet that I'll be trying it.

and Modern Apizza (our fav),

Paul Giamatti was just extolling his favorite pizza on Kimmel the other night as Frank Pepe Pizzeria.  But he called it "apizza", like your fave, which I guess is a local New Haven thing?

Edit2: also, his favorite pizza from there (or one favorite): white clam and bacon pizza.

(Edited - I got the pizza joint name confused with what you suggested.)

Pauls father Bart was President at Yale for years before becoming MLB commissioner.  In New Haven they call it apizza pronounced ah beetz.  Mozzarella is called mutz and pizza is is thin crust some would aay burned but it is charred.

Peppe's white clam (not my fav) has been listed as best pizza 18 out of the last 20 years.  Check out the documentary I loated above

We tried the Pepe white clam (I love clams) and it was okay.  Next time I'll try another type.👍

Head scratching I agree.  Next time go to Modern.  Either the bomb or my go to, all muzz, half pepperoni and half sausage (sometimes get onion in place of pepperoni).

I always feel like I notice regional differences when it comes to food on the ship.  I am born and raised in SoCal so pineapples and weird toppings on my pizza are the norm and I never thought it odd when I saw this notice.   I also notice that people from SoCal where sushi and Mexican food are abundant (and excellent) are not as favorable to the ships Sushi/Mexican food as those from regions where they do not have as many options where they live. Same goes for BBQ, those from the south where they have tons of excellent BBQ are more critical of the BBQ on the ship vs. areas where BBQ is not as good etc.  There is definitely no right or wrong just matter of preference.
