Entertainment in Suite or Diamond lounges ??? Vision of the Seas

Recommended Posts

This will be our first RCL cruise.  Vision has the Centrum for viewing entertainment, and I see only one indoor lounge.   We have access to the Suite and Diamond Lounges.  Will there be any music there, late afternoon, early evening?

No, these lounges don't have entertainment on any ship. They are just there for drinks, snacks, and obviously lounging.

And that's a good thing. 🍻

Agreed. But I understand why the OP is asking since they've never been on RC before and Vision is one of the smaller, older ships.

barric, there are several other lounges on Vision, many with music and other entertainment. No music in Crown Lounge, just enjoyable conversation for those who wish to partake. But there is Some Enchanted Evening Lounge (Latin band or other), Schooner Bar (piano player), etc.

Yup.  Elite on Celebrity got us Diamond on RCL

OK...that makes sense.  Cool...enjoy your cruise.   We are on "Connie" for the first time on Celebrity later this year.   Really looking forward to it.   Interestingly...even being Pinnacle on RCI...we are Elite status match on Celebrity.  😉

Will be interesting to hear your opinion concerning the different ways your drink perks work, X being a happy hour set time versus Royal vouchers used anytime, just about anywhere. We did X last summer and got elite matching status and while we enjoyed the happy hour with some folks we met onboard, we much prefer the Royal program. Please tell us what your opinion is when you return.

I think that is what we will find when we board Connie the end of this year.  We really love the voucher program on Royal.

No.  Unless people bring their own music with them....

I recall a piano player in the D Lounge on Enchantment a few years ago, but never on Vision.

Cool. I've never seen that. Is the Crown Lounge larger on the Enchantment than other classes? We've sailed Vision ships before (including Enchantment twice) but that was long before Crown (Diamand) Lounges came about.

We are on Connie two weeks from today and hope they have some evening Elite functions like Celebrity used to pre-covid. After covid, they ceased and then recently announced that they would re-start them but on a limited basis instead of every night (except embarkation day) like they used to. We were highly disappointed on our Beyond cruise over Christmas as they didn't have any Elite functions. We really enjoy the events and look forward to meeting other frequent cruisers over the include drinks and hors d’oeuvres.

Hands down RC. We usually get the AI packages (so we don't bother with the very limited selections of CC HH drinks. Basically what the CAS HH drink menu was before the voucher system.) but after our September we'll be rethinking that. The AI use to include the CBP, gratuities and Wi-Fi which we have for our September cruise. Celebrity now has eliminated the gratuity component from the AI package.

The CC started back up the evening HH. The lounge is ship specific. On a 7 night cruise is only two nights.

The lounge names have been changing, the Suite Lounge is sometimes known as the Concierge Club, and the Diamond Lounge has been changed to the Crown Lounge. During evening happy hour both lounges will have hors d'oeuvres, the selection is the same in both lounges. One key difference for you is that the drinks in the Suite Lounge are free, but drinks in the Diamond Lounge will use one of your four daily drink vouchers. Therefore it is better for you to use the Suite Lounge during happy hour.

Also, depending on the number of Pinnacle and Diamond Plus members on board, you might or might not have access to the Diamond Lounge (Crown Lounge) during happy hour. If there are too many Pinnacles and Diamond Plus then Diamond members don't have access during happy hour.

Yes, it is larger. It’s in a loft that wraps around farther than the usual side lounge on most. The SL was tiny in the back.
