Envy cocktail:

The envy cocktail is a stunning blue-green tequila drink that has a wonderful tropical flavor. It's an ideal recipe for any outdoor summer party and incredibly easy to mix up.

There are many things to love about the envy cocktail. Not only is its color captivating, but it requires just three ingredients, all of which are very common in the bar. Using your favorite tequila as the base, you'll pour blue curaçao, which gives the drink its signature color and a hint of orange flavor. Then, a little pineapple juice is tossed into the shaker to give it that brilliant spark of tropical fruit flavor.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 ounces blanco tequila
1 ounce blue curaçao liqueur
1/2 ounce pineapple juice
Maraschino cherry, for garnish
Directions:
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes, pour tequila, blue curaçao, and pineapple juice.
Shake well.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass over fresh ice, if you like.
Garnish with a maraschino cherry.

My drink is always green cause I’m green with Envy! 😀

Thanks for the Fleet update and General Info from all contributors!

Rarotonga today. I call it one of the rooter router islands; also Raiatea & Rangiroa. Beautiful place. Went on a private snorkel trip. Apparently one of the snorkelers did not realize we were going to snorkel in 30 ft deep water and not knee deep water. He panicked and it took the three crew members on the boat to get him out of the water!

Good morning from a cloudy central Texas.  It is 70F with 98% humidity and a dew point of 68F.  There is an 8mph wind.  Looking at the hourly forecast, the sun will make an appearance about 11am, and we'll have a high of 89F this afternoon.  It looks like summer is approaching since we'll be in the upper 80s to lower 90s the next two weeks.  The main item on the agenda today is mowing the grass, which I hope to do a bit earlier today before it gets too hot.  This afternoon we'll watch the Preakness.

HIV vaccine awareness is a good day to honor, and I hope they develop a good vaccine to prevent HIV soon.  Someone can have my Reeses since I do not like peanut butter.  We are not big museum people, but there are some good museums that we've visited.

Joan Rivers had a funny, dry sense of humor.

I like asparagus, but will pass on the meal, along with the drink.  I would like to try the wine.

We were in Rarotonga in 2004, and we enjoyed our day there.

Grauman's Chinese Theater (now Mann's) has been a Hollywood landmark since it opened in 1927.

@grapau27  Graham, what a beautiful poppy.  Thank you for the information about HIV Vaccine Awareness Day.

@MISTER 67  Welcome home.

@Niagarawine  Welcome home.

@kazu  Jacqui, I hope no news from the doctor is good news.  I also hope your foot is better when you drive to see the vascular surgeon.

@dfish  Debbie, I hope you figure out how to get the furniture put together.  We've had the same problem on some or our outdoor furniture.  It's aggravating.

Good morning and happy Saturday!  Thanks @grapau27for the explanations and the lovely pictures of your garden.  We're working on planting some flowers now.  Not a fan of asparagus and haven't been to the port.  Our weather is going to beautiful today.  More rain is forecast for the next few days.

Happy anniversary to @Norseh2o

@ger_77hoping your DH is ok for surgery next week.

Prayers that all of our Texas people are safe.  The news this morning is showing some very scary scenes.

@dfishgood luck with your furniture!  Following pictures to put things together can be a challenge....and then things don't line up, more fun!

@kazuhoping you are feeling better soon and that your foot is healing well.

@JazzyVhoping things are going ok for you and your BFF.

Have a good weekend!  Karen

Once again, an interesting collection of days - I'll celebrate Reese's any day (there's a large chunky Reese's cup in the fridge waiting to be found by DH). Nephew worked hard on HIV prevention education while in the Peace Corp. Museums are fabulous - so much to look at and learn in them. I visited a wonderful museum in Europe that was located inside a church - it was like a "twofer" - museum and beautiful church at same time!

Pass on the meal (wish I liked asparagus) and drink (although I do have some Blue Curacao), would love to try the wine (I was in So Africa in 2017 while fires were burning through many vineyards including Stellenbosch so it's good to see a wine from that area), not been to the port (thanks @StLouisCruisers for the great pictures).

Best of luck @dfish w/the furniture assembly; I know you'll win and treat us to a pic of a lovely fire table etc al.

I tried to book the Aug cruise last night @dfish but kept getting errors at the cabin selection phase, so I will have to call in; maybe it's sold out? 🤷‍♀️

🤞@kazu the on the foot test results and you get a call soon 🙏

🤞the Mavericks🏀 have a good night tonight to close out the series and move on to the next round.

Good luck to all who may be cheering for a favorite in today's Preakness🏇

DH asked me to order mulch so he can work in the beds & plant the flowers we brought back from his mom's house - all stores I checked were either pick up only or have very high delivery fees ($35 - $69 for 10 bags), so it looks like we have a trip to make.

Currently 70° headed to sunny 91°; today will likely be hard to breathe as we have an air quality alert / ozone action day. Strange that mowing is not mentioned on the alert; it usually is as gas powered mowers contribute greatly to poor air quality. 🤷‍♀️

Prayers 🙏 and positive thoughts for all.

When reading about our alert, I found these pictures of the floods outside of Houston. As mentioned, Houston is very low w/poor drainage so it floods easily and frequently. Prayers 🙏 for those impacted.

During the floods a couple years ago, one of my workers who lives in that area took his boat out and rescued many people. A member of our recruiting team was rescued by boat during this flood; they're still in a hotel and have not been allowed back in yet to assess damage. 😪

We were in Rarotonga on Tahitian Princess in 2004.  We took the bus around the island.

These pictures are from our bus ride.

Back in town, we walked around and made a big purchase of a Styrofoam cooler for our cabin, which our wonderful steward keep filled.

We stopped in today's port of Rarotonga, Cook Islands in 2017 on the Maasdam.  That was the cruise my birthday was celebrated onboard two days in a row.  What fun that was!

We didn't schedule a tour here but heard from the destination expert that you could take a bus ride around the island quite easily and decided to do that.

Being greeted upon arrival.

Beautiful hillside views from our port town of Avatiu.

Back in town off the bus, we could browse all the goodies for sale at the market.

Thank you!!  I love reading here and the friends I'm making here!!  Bless each of you with health and love!!!

HIV Vaccine Awareness and Reeses ANYTHING and Museums are reasons to celebrate and honor!!!  Good For Us!!!  (And YES, I will eat a Reese's today and totally be in heaven and enjoy!!)

I love asparagus -- but it's just the sauce, I'm not sure about...

Poor Joan Rivers...  I know she was a funny comedian -- but...  I'm not sure about her quote today...  She had a dry, strange humor at times!!!  I wonder if her parents were still alive when she made that joke/comment!   I don't know if I'd laugh...

AND Thank you @StLouisCruisers for Cook islands photos!  I think you and I are of one mind...  I like to go inside churches when I pass them.  They each have their own special personality and beauty!!

@grapau27  Thank you for the explanation of the Day...  and the lovely photos!!!  Is it a special breed of Poppy?  It's such a large blossom...  I love the vibrant color!!!  WOW!!!

Thank you Lambie.

The poppy is called.

Beauty of Livermere.

We bought it at our local garden centre.

There are 4 more buds ready to open.

Thanks so much, Graham!  Glad you enjoyed them.  Meanwhile, your poppy photo was gorgeous!  I hope all the buds open and present a fantastic view in your garden for you.

We had lunch and then headed over to town since we were busy this morning.  Praia da Vitoria is the same place we saw 6 years ago on the Grand Med and Africa cruise.  I noticed all the knit "scarves" around the trees in the park were missing. Maybe the trees got too big!  The big white and gold church in town was having the paint power washed off the building where it is cracking badly, and they are redoing each section with new paint soon after so it's starting to look good again on some sides.  It was nice to get out and get some fresh air and exercise.

Good morning, thanks for the Fleet Report and Daily!  I'm so glad there's a vaccine for HIV, can take or leave Reeses, and can't begin to tell you the number of museums we've seen over the years - all of which are great reminders of the history of the areas.

It's a cloudy, windy day to start the Victoria Day long weekend, and I know a lot of people are headed north to Prince Albert National Park to start the camping season.  I really hope they've got cold weather rated sleeping bags, as it's going to be very chilly at night, with temperatures dipping below freezing tonight and tomorrow.  Those in trailers will fare better with their heaters and furnaces.  Glad we're no longer camping and can just stay home in the comfort and warmth.  DH says his idea of camping now is staying at a hotel that doesn't have room service.  LOL

@Norseh2owishing you and DH a very Happy Anniversary - love the past and present photos, you both look great!

@kazuI really hope your foot starts showing signs of improvement; I can't imagine trying to drive with your "good" foot feeling so awful.

Thanks for all your good wishes for Maurice to get rid of this stupid cold.  Yesterday I spent some time at the grocery/drug store getting everything I could find that had properties to boost the immune system and knock out a cold.  I had all manners of vitamin C - fruits, juices and pills, along with zinc lozenges and a tea with lemon, echinacea, and added vitamin C.  I kept the liquids flowing all day for DH, and of course because he's on a diuretic, he kept them flowing, too!   I think he slept better last night, wasn't quite as stuffy, but will keep the regime going today to battle the cold out of him.

I think I'd like to try the drink( the pineapple juice would make it taste tropical), would like to try the wine, and we do enjoy asparagus, so that's a recipe I'll tuck away for a hot summer day as a side dish.  We've got a big pot of chicken soup to go through, so I'll be serving that up again for dinner along with fresh from the bakery sourdough bread at the kitchen table tonight.  And wine.

Smooth Sailing!  ☺️☺️☺️

Gerry

Been missing for a few days. First we had company, my cousin from Montreal and her dh and after they left, I was laid low with a cold and cough. Like @ger_77dh I am pushing the fluids, the chicken soup, etc. and naps, very important. The only good thing is the weather is kind of grey so not too upset about staying inside and doing nothing.

have a good weekend, especially Canadian dailyites as this is the unofficially start of summer.

The Houston and east Texas areas were slammed hard by the storms.  Most of our regular Texas Dailyites live along the I-35 corridor between Austin and the DFW Metroplex.  There was heavy rain in that area, but high wind and devastating storms, so there was not as much damage or flooding.

We lived north of Houston for 14 years, and had flooding in Houston and between us and Conroe after heavy and/or prolonged rains.  One neighborhood along the San Jacinto River flooded so often, the Federal government quit offering flood insurance to the area.  They were paying out big bucks to the area every year or two.

Thank you Sandi.

Yours and Lenda's photos are a joy to see every day.

It is lovely you both have travelled to so many places and kindly shared them with us.

Graham, thanks for adding me in your comments about the pictures.  Sharing them with the Dailyites brings back good memories.

Gerry

Gerry, I hope your DH is well enough for the surgery.  Keep up the good nursing.

Eva, I hope you feel better soon.
