shareholder credit

It was years ago but I think I just attached proof of 100 shares to an email. I must have found the instructions on the website. The amount of OBC has dwindled over the years.  It might not be worth the bother and cost of buying the shares.

As many ofther questions.   If one simply searches for RCL Stockholder Credit you will be directed to www.rclinvestor.com

Under FAQ select HOW DO I REDEEM THIS BENEFIT

I recently filed for two cruises and received credit within 3 days.

Where ....or better yet how do I apply for shareholder credit?

For the few times I have done it, I get the fastest results by emailing shareholderbenefit@rccl.com.  The last time I did it, I emailed requests for shareholder OBC for 3 sailings and got the OBC for each one in just a tad over 3 hours.

How far in advance to you send in your info?  I don't sail until November, but I now have my 6/30/24 statement.  I'd rather send it in fairly soon instead of waiting until early October when I have my 9/30/24 statement.

I don't think there is a practical limit as long as you hold the stock and have a qualified booking.  I requested and received OBC in Nov 2022 for our Apr 9 2025 trans-Pacific sailing if that gives you any idea.....Of course it's been more rewarding to see the stock price go up from $58/share since then!

I have a cruise scheduled for February 2025.  Submitted the form with proof of ownership (scanned page of brokerage statement) on Wednesday  and received the OBC on Friday.  And Thursday was a holiday.

I also don't think it matters when the cruise is; I just received OBC for two cruises...one is 4/25 the other is 1/26

I agree.  I apply for shareholder OBC as soon as I book a cruise.  It's always been approved within a few days.

For the portfolio statement, I always block out our account numbers and all other stock information on the account except for the RCCL listing. As long as your name, the company  holding the stock, and itemized listing of RCCL stock are all clearly evident they will process it. They only need the single page of the account statement that has the RCCL listing. In my experience, it gets approved within a week

Thanks for the replies.  I've owned RCL for several years (bought at $35.80/sh!) but haven't sailed Royal since 2003, and only once on X, in April 2022.  I got my SH OBC but just didn't remember the procedure.

I've owned CCL for about 14 years, bought when it was at it's then-low of $18/sh.  It hasn't done nearly as well, but I've gotten so much OBC for Carnival and HAL sailing!.  For their stock, they typically want you to send it in for a cruise that's within their time frame, since they renew the SH perks annually.  But I know I've submitted it for multiple cruises that extended beyond that time period.

I'll go ahead and submit mine soon and see what happens.  I'm not sure I'll qualify since both bookings are casino offers.  Offer was free interior for me, but I had to pay for the 2nd passenger.  I expect to be denied, but I'll submit it anyway.  I won't get it if I don't ask, right?

HAL denies it for "free" cabins; Carnival used to grant it for any and all cabins, even freebies.  I think they've changed that since the pandemic.

Had an unusual experience with Share Holders Credit today.    I submitted my latest statement for two cruises -   I also wrote on the front page of my statement the Ship / Date of Sailing and Reservation #.    I also filled it in online.

This morning I saw a rejection email pop up  - stating they couldn't find my reservation number... I started to contact them when suddenly two more emails came through confirming the credit had been applied to each reservation......   I guess someone pushed the wrong button then realized their mistake.

Edit:    just after writing I though maybe I should check out the reservations and sure enough all was applied.

You will be ok ... I applied for a 11/2024 and 11/2025 a couple days ago and they came through in 2 days.

Can you see this on line somewhere? I’m guessing not on the app but where?

Yes, I can see this credit online when I sign-in to my cruise. The upper right section of the screen displays Onboard Credit $xxx

I applied yesterday for shareholder credit on a cruise October, 2024 and October, 2025 and both were approved today

What method did you use to apply for the OBC?  Email or did you use the online form?
