When I follow that link it’s still £65 per day!?

The UK website must be different than the US website.  If you look up at post #15, you can see the pricing on the US website in the screenshot.

Raising the Premier price by $10/day but including unlimited specialty dining makes this a no-brainer for us. We only ever eat in the SD restaurants and not in the MDR, so this price increase will pay for itself. The downside is that now it will be even tougher for us to chew through all our OBC, some of which used to go to paying for Speciality dining.

at the bottom of the page there is a headline "Explore All the Details — There’s a Lot to Love" with FAQs below:

Will I still receive the new perks of Princess Premier® if I purchased the package at the old rate of $80 per day?
You can absolutely upgrade to receive the new perks of Princess Premier® at the new price of $90 per day by paying the $10 difference per day. If you do not wish to upgrade, you can enjoy the package with the original perks as you initially purchased them.

Thanks!! Good to know we won’t be forced to pay the new price for our sailing next year. I don’t see the changes adding enough value to pay the difference. I don’t plan to drink more than 15 drinks a day, I don’t need the improved internet, and 2 specialty dining is plenty!

A question for those with the current Premier package. Can you pre reserve your 2 specialty dining meals without paying for them? Booking unlimited meals pre cruise would be very appealing if that’s the case.

Looks like another IT issue. Have been tracking a few cruises for 2026. One just shows Plus and two have plus and premier. All are Caribbean.

Agree - 15 drinks are enough for us. Not interested in specialty dining - food ok but staff too pretentious for us. We did enjoy Planks.

How are they going to implement unlimited Specialty dining when people have a hard time getting reservations now for some of the restaurants?

I may be incorrect, but IIRC, there used to be two specialty dining included in Plus, now you must buy Premier, which is as you say unlimited. That'll make some space in the restaurants.  I accidentally hit enter before completing my post.

Premier includes/included 2 specialty dinners.

Plus did not (does not).

My bookings show the new price increase for the Premier package, but the new benefits are listed under the Plus package. lol

As suite/casino guests we can usually get accommodated for specialty dinners after 7;30 but I can see it becoming more difficult if premier guests decide to take a table at Crown Grill every night especially on long cruises. Remember suite guests are guaranteed specialty dining on embarkation night. I can see that evening becoming a traffic jam between suite guests and premier packages

There is not a simple answer to this.  For some people, it works the way it should and they do not have to pay for the 2 included specialty meals.  For others, you are charged and then have to go to guest services on board to get a refund.  Kind of a roll of the dice on what the app feels like doing the day you try to book.

we are in the 'others' group - booked and paid for 2 nights of specialty dining - will deal with the OBC once onboard.

Us too.  I just happen to know some people that are on the same cruise we are that did not have to pay up front.  Lucky ducks!

We are the same!  We only have dinner in the specialty restaurants and we never go to the buffet.  I would definitely pay the extra $10 per day!   Bring it on, Princess!

Just had another thought on this, isn’t this going to make it very difficult to track the ‘Price Guarantee’? I believe the small print says the price needs to go down on a like for like basis, because we booked the old premier will they argue it’s not like for like?
this may just applicable to uk guests?

Ya but it took 3 calls over a couple weeks directly to princess to get it working

Does anyone know if we get refunded for the specialty dining reservations? We made reservations through the app and it charges us even though we have princess premier and have the free specialty dining.

Yes you can. Don’t book on the app. Book on the website and you don’t have to pay upfront. That is certainly my experience.

I had not thought about it, but I have never been charged for my premier SD reservations and I think I always book them via the website since it is easier on my laptop than on my phone with the small screen.

Website versus App might be the reason why some people are charged and some are not.

I hate to say but if they oversell premier and suites have free embarkation dinner and casino hands them out and suite managers tell me not to worry I will always get you a table the some folks may have to eat dinner at 11:00 pm or 10:00 am. Can’t wait to see how this works out   This is somewhat tongue in cheek LOL

I completely agree, Michael!  This is a mess just waiting to happen.  Yes, I would buy into it, but I can see how it could all go terribly wrong for a lot of passengers.  It will be interesting to see how this plays out when it’s initiated.
