  1. With the perks for suites and booking on board OBC we don't usually have a big bill at the end of the cruise. I use the points for a reduction in cruise fare before final payment.
  2. We have the same set from our first cruise on Zenith in 1997.
  3. You need to call Celebrity. There is a redemption confirmation on line that has some information that will make it easier to get this taken care of. Someone just asked about this on another site. Here's the info on how to get this document. Log into your BOA account. Click on the Rewards Tab. Then Redeem My Cruise Points. The link will take you to the Celebrity Site. At the top you will see your account #, Sign Out opt and My Orders, etc. Click on My Orders. It will show you the date redeemed and the # of points redeemed. Click on details. A screen will open with all the details of the redemption. Once you have this you can contact Celebrity with the transaction details. Strongly recommend printing the page, and take it with you. It sometimes takes a while to have them applied to your account BTW. I had 2 numbers to call pre covid: 844 418-6824 Ext 3 then 1 Per FAQ, 800 760-0654 opt 3 Don't know if they are still good. The last time I called the Retreat # since we were in a suite.
  4. We got $200 for an 8 day cruise in December. Prices on our other cruises were higher.
  5. I didn't pay a lot of attention to the email but saw the additional OBC offer here, or somewhere. Emailed our CVP and was able to get an additional $200 on one of 3 cruises.
  6. The theater seating, since you brought that up, is only 3 rows in the balcony, admittedly center balcony, on the evening chic nights. These rows open up for general seating 5 or 10 minutes before the show starts. Otherwise theater seating is first come, first seated in the seat of your choice. There is rarely a line waiting for a seat or waiting to be seated. We all choose how to spend the money we have in the time we have left. If we choose to book suites, so be it.
  7. I don't think you will notice a difference. The only time suite guests are taken to the head of the line is disembarking, either at a port or at the end of the cruise. Most terminals have dedicated suite entrances or lines for embarkation at the beginning of the cruise. You might not even see them. Check out the live post from Generation X for a good feel about cruising in something other than a suite is like on Celebrity.
  8. Any bottle is hard to open if you have issues with your hands, aluminum, glass or plastic. One cruise I was in the suite while my husband was at the spa and I asked our Butler to open a bottle of Pelegrino for me. Every time I saw him he had an open bottle for me. I didn't find drinking out of the aluminum bottle any different than drinking out of a soft drink can.
  9. CVP is Celebrity Vacation Planner. We booked our March 2024 cruise in March 2022 so 2 year out. The new releases used to be about 15 to 18 months out if I'm remembering correctly.
  10. We had several LUV vouchers and travel funds. Found out we could only apply a limited number on a flight. I think we might have some funds hanging out there that I forgot all about.
  11. Be careful if you select EWR, I just saw an article that United is cutting a lot of flights from there. By the time you can book it might all be sorted out. We used to fly through EWR on United all the time but are now considering other options if we book with them. To answer your question, if we can't get not stop on South West we would book business on United, even to Fll from Pgh. It's just more comfortable.
  12. No, you can't take them home. Until they switched to pj's they gave upper level suites new, in the package robes that they monogramed if you wanted. You can buy them if they have some available and the price was not bad.
  13. Our CVP alerts us to a new schedule openings, especially when she knows what we want to book next. Otherwise I just watch CC or other social media. I'm not sure I would trust X to get it right.
  14. I'd rather have the robes. Have not had a problem with the embroidery and we just put them in the tote bag to bring home.
  15. The shoreside Concierge will ask what time you plan on arriving at the port, what size pj's you want and a few other things. The last 2 things on your list will be handled onboard. The biggest items are dining and bar setup but even they can be taken care of on board.
  16. We've used one for years and she is worth her weight in gold. She doesn't alert us to price reductions or other offers but has saved us $$$ when we've seen a reduced price. She's also gotten change fees waived on NRD bookings. She once automatically switched a booking, while we were sailing and the itinerary we wanted became available. Since we book higher level suites it's been our experience that the best deals are when new sailings are announced.
  17. Celebrity only recommends this excursion if your flight departs after 2:30 which would allow time to check in and go through TSA.
  18. I found this: Bank of America Celebrity Cruises Visa Signature Card | U.S. News (usnews.com) Any purchase within 90 days would seem to qualify for the 10,000 bonus points. "Sign-up bonus: With the Bank of America Celebrity Cruises Visa Signature Credit Card, you receive a 10,000-point sign-up bonus when you make your first purchase within the first 90 days after opening the account. "
  19. How did you print them out? Our hotel does not have a business center from what I can find.
  20. There is probably a minimum amount you need to spend in the first 90 days.
  21. Our wine prices are high but I can't imagine Cherry Pie (or tart depending on the year) for $8 a bottle.
  22. We've never used Lyft or Uber. We tried a few times and it never worked out. Transportation in NJ is expensive, we lived there years ago and it hasn't gotten any better. Even sailing from Fll we use a limo service from the airport to the hotel and then to the cruise. Taxi back to the airport. I guess we just like to be pampered which is why we book suites.
  23. PH prices on Summit are ridiculously expensive but a RS is now more than the PH for our Canada cruise next year. Last time we sailed out of Bayone I don't remember check in but there was a special area for suite guests at disembarkation. If anyone is looking for transportation to or from the port I can recommend Dial7 Limo service. (I think this is allowed to post.)
