  1. The answer is no, you can't bring these gummies aboard. Now, whether or not you will get caught is a different matter. While I wouldn't do it myself, I would expect that gummies would go undetected.
  2. Don't trust the app until you are actually on the ship, connected to ship's wifi.
  3. I wouldn't expect to bring a 15yo to Teppenyaki and not get charged.
  4. I don't understand why everyone says the time in Bermuda was cut. I was on the first regular sailing last year. We didn't even know we were going to Bar Harbor until on the ship. I was expecting the one sea day going, and two back. I met one couple that complained we lost a day in Bermuda to accommodate Bar Harbor. If I recall, the couple was from Maine and wouldn't have booked a cruise that went to Bar Harbor. We never lost time in Bermuda. Now, with that said, I questioned why we were going to Bar Harbor so early in season. For a town that's season doesn't really start until Memorial Day, going before Good Friday meant the sidewalks hadn't even been rolled out yet 🙂 I opted to stay on the ship (the weather was chilly anyways). Apparently Ollie got a trolley running for those that wanted a tour. But, it seems it was a last minute thing. Due to immigration happening on the ship, no one could return until that was completed. There was apparently no other place to wait out of the weather, so some people paid for a tour 🙂
  5. My condolences to the crew and said family.
  6. Yes, because the NCL ship is US flagged (nothing to do with the Jones Act/PVSA), it is required to have a mostly US citizen crew. The other ships sail from the West Coast and stop in Ensenada either to/from.
  7. There is coffee available in the buffet. If you want Starbucks, you would need to go get it yourself.
  8. Carnival won't give you room numbers. You would need to ask people. This board does not have the facility to do this privately.
  9. You might want to check on the ports of call boards.
  10. At least on Mardi Gras and Celebration, Chibang, Cucina, and Guys are extensions of MTD, so if you are on assigned dining, you can't eat in those restaurants until after 7:30.
  11. Yes, there's a beach. You can walk there. It's not normally recommended. It's a man-made beach, versus the beautiful beaches like Horseshoe Bay.
  12. One would not be using the Sumner Tunnel to go from the airport to the cruise port, or the other way. I flew back to Logan the first weekend last year when the Sumner was closed. It took me an hour to get from the parking garage to the Ted William tunnel. It should have taken 10 minutes, max. With that being said, it's really a straight shot from the port to the airport. I wouldn't be too concerned, just make sure you have enough time. The only direct public transportation would be the Silver Line, which is a bus and would be stuck in the same traffic.
  13. I can't speak for the closed roads, but yes, when you drive in you are first routed to drop off your luggage, and then to park. Yes, you want to bring your ticket with you so you can pay at the kiosk prior to returning to your car. If you are in the garage, there is an area for pickup so you don't have to lug all your bags to the car.
  14. The Family Harbor Lounge is for the exclusive use of those in the Family Harbor rooms.
  15. What options were given to you? I don't think you'll be allowed to just pick a spot.
  16. Yeah, book that hotel room ASAP. Just suck up the price. To give you an idea, I got married the weekend of Head of the Charles. I didn't realize it (hadn't even heard of Head of the Charles). We got married in Newton. The closest hotel I could get a room block in was in Billerica.
  17. If you booked a guarantee room, your room will be assigned any time between now and the time you get to the port.
  18. In your case, because you are in Aqua class, your assigned dining room is Blu. Since there is no assigned dining in Blu, the assigned time is meaningless. If you wish to eat in the MDR, you need to make arrangements with the Maitre D at Blu.
  19. Just a note that while what people wear may vary based on destination, the printed dress code is the same.
  20. While this might be the case, I find the water from the dispensers to be chilled more than from the sink, plus the ice is right there.
  21. I stopped playing Bingo when they switched to the computer generated stuff. Now all they do is scan your card to validate the win. To me, it makes me feel the game can be fixed since the computer knows what card sets are out there and can draw the appropriate numbers.
  22. If all you are looking for is a place to sleep, then look in the Seaport area. Close enough to the airport as well as the cruise port. Many new places.
