  1. Many years ago I took Amtrak to Newark Airport so I could get a rental car. I had to find someone who could open the gate after seeing my Amtrak ticket.
  2. The package must be bought for all adults in a cabin. However, if you call in, and have a condition that doesn't allow you to drink, you can supposedly get away with one alcohol package and one refreshment package.
  3. I don't believe the Valor has any thermal suite of some variety. You would be paying for services only.
  4. Yeah, if Cozumel is the first stop, I'd just no show and not get on the ship in the first place. But, I'd also be upset that my approved vacation time was being rescinded at the last possible minute.
  5. You can't simply not show up on the ship, nor just show up at the airport. This must be arranged in advance so proper immigration can be done (on a cruise ship, immigration is rubber stamped based on you leaving same day (simple explanation)). If you don't intend to return to the ship, you need to be properly processed. Also note that there is no guarantee that you will get permission.
  6. Your MDR reservations mean nothing since you are assigned to Blu, which doesn't have reservations. Since you don't plan to eat at Blu, you need to let the Maitre D there know and they will arrange for you to eat in the MDR.
  7. Probably no mass, but there might be a nondenominational service.
  8. No, per board rules we can't recommend PCCs.
  9. My understanding is that command strips are not allowed to be used.
  10. It is pretty much common knowledge that for the most part, scooters are not allowed on tenders. This isn't just for the private islands, but also any other tender port.
  11. If you have a positive test, why would you attempt to even board? If Columbia requires proof of vaccination and/or a negative test, this will be handled at check in.
  12. You would need to go to a bar each time you'd like a drink. Room service is not included in Cheers. In terms of getting an unopened bottle, technically no, but the bar tender might if you ask.
  13. Carnival has banned bluetooth speakers for specific cruises (mainly this week). However, there is a reminder that they are not allowed to be used on public decks. If I were on deck, and someone had a speaker going, if a firm. but polite, turn it down/off didn't work, and I couldn't get a crew member to deal with it, I'd probably be testing how well said speaker could float in salt water 🙂
  14. It has been like this for awhile. You can only prepay for a bottle on longer cruises.
  15. For Alaska, yes, if you know what you want to do, book it.
  16. Unfortunately, it seems the OP didn't research fully before booking their cruise if letting their little one get wet was important to them. Unfortunately, at least on cruises out of the US, it's a health issue. If there were an accident in the pool, it would need to be closed, cleaned, sanitized, and refilled, closing the pool for hours. The ships that have splash pads for swim-diapered kids have them as a separate system. Just to note, this rule doesn't just apply to babies, but to people on the other end of the spectrum who need to wear similar items.
  17. I've done minis on Princess and a Jr suite on Royal (Adventure). My experience is a bit dated... The minis on Princess I've been on where on the Emerald and Star. So the Royal might be different. The only difference between the minis and a balcony is the existence of a couch, a tub, and the welcome glass of sparkling wine that most people use to test the drain in the sink versus drink. No other perks. On the Adventure, our junior suite was definitely bigger, and had a nice walk in closet. At the time, we could check in with the suites. I don't recall any other perks.
  18. This would be a decision for the youth manager on board. You can always ask, worst case is they say no.
  19. Yes, there is an elevator at the Flynn Cruiseport. There are also escalators to take you up.
  20. As a reminder, per your cruise contract, ports are not guaranteed. While a change might be sad, nothing you can really do about it.
  21. Well, I'm betting their cruise card is flagged, so if they try to buy anything it will alert immediately. If they still won't follow, there will be someone posted outside the door.
  22. Just a reminder, per your contract, ports are not guaranteed.
