For the addicts: There will be two dam ships visiting Key West to start 2018. Eurodam will be in from 8 am-4 pm (0800-1600) on January 1 and Koningsdam will be in from 8 am to 5 pm (0800-1700) on January 2.

Next up: A busy day on Wednesday, January 3 with six ships (three HAL!) in Port Everglades. A chance to see Veendam, Koningsdam, and Prinsendam as well as Costa Deliziosa, Silver Muse, and Caribbean Princess.

Peter (Boytjie) will be taking the sail-away threads back on January 3. I have enjoyed posting them and, as it usually works out, I had just gotten the process down pat and it is time to return the job! If nobody else wishes to do the Juneau sail-in/sail-away posts (dam ships start on May 1), I will do those again.

Happy New Year to all!

Boarding the Eurodam today. Been a number of years since I’ve sailed HAL (have mostly been on X the past few years).

Looked out my hotel window and unfortunately my view of the Eurodam is blocked by an RCCL ship.

Happy New Year.

Thank you, Kathi, for all your hard work. Happy New Year, all. :)

We are off tomorrow at 5 a.m. and hope for good weather in Fort Lauderdale and points south. I have requested a wave for our sail away on January 3 on Koningsdam, and I'm trying to figure out a way to watch it on my iPhone. I guess I will have to use up some internet time.

Checking if from a bitterly cold New York!

Happy New Year to all ye sail-away addicts.

Thank you Kathi for taking care of the reminders. I hope I don't drop the ball while I get back into the wing of posting it regularly - and on time.
