COMING SOON New and renovated staterooms throughout the ship

The above was taken directly from the RC website......but the pictures on instagram don't reflect this, except maybe the person's blog which shows a renovated Royal Suite....

A renovated suite and the additional cabins added satisfy that statement.

Found another travel agent who was on the cruise. Here is their photoblog of the ship:

Nice pictures!

Out of curiosity, where is this area on this ship, and how crowded does it usually get?

My biggest complaint I had about the Oasis is that there wasn't anywhere on the ship you could be inside and see water, except for a cabin or the Viking Crown. I originally thought the Freedom was like that, very glad to see pictures like this.

This looks like deck 4, just in front of the Casino :)

That is Bolero's on deck 4 midship forward of the dining room. It is a very nice lounge and usually quite lively at night but quiet during days with good weather.

lol 3 different answers, love it.

Aquarium Bar/Boleros/In front of the Casino on Deck 4... Perfect, my wife will love spending some time there when we cruise next year (I know, already talking about a cruise 12 months away).

One thing that bugged me a bit about the Oasis was that everything shut down around 11pm to midnight. Not saying I am a night owl by any means, but it would have been nice to have some places to hang out if we didn't want to call it a night shortly after the 8:30 dinner seating. I'm hoping clubs on the Freedom stay open a bit later than that.

I realize this thread is about Freedom, not Oasis....but you brought this up, and I have to wonder about it....because when we were on Allure, there were things going on well past midnight. Some activities did not end until midnight and then dancing/musie and bars continued to remain open.

One night Karaoke did not even start until 11:30pm and continued well past midnight.

There is no Aquarium Bar on the Freedom, but where the Aquarium Bar is on certain ships (like the Adventure) is where Boleros is on others. Freedom has a Boleros, and from what I've seen this looks like that. It does indeed have windows. And the last poster is correct: quiet usually until the music starts up at night.

Yeah, it was crazy. Dazzles shut down, and they closed the doors by midnight every day. By 12:15, the Promenade had little to no energy going on, with most clubs and bars shut down for the night. We really couldn't find anything that was open late, and its not like we didn't try. The ship became a ghost town by midnight every day.

Maybe it had to do with the timing of the cruise? We went on the week of July 4th. I'm really hoping we have a different experience on the Freedom.

Hi all,

Sorry it has taken me so long to post. When I got to Orlando I met up with an old friend and I just wanted to enjoy the weekend and not be glued to my phone. Once I got home, I was so tired from cramming a 7 night cruise into 2, that I slept for 14 hours! I will take a look now and see if I can answer any questions that haven't been answered yet.

Bottom line, they did an amazing job. Everything was ready and wonderful and the spoiled us rotten with unlimited free drinks!

I think refurbishment was for gs and above. Can someone on the 2 day preview cruise confirm?

I don't know if the suites were refurbed or not. I hadn't seen them before. They were really nice though. My inside room didn't seem refurbed but it was just fine. I did one new room (and inside) and it was very similar with a little more modern furniture design and bathroom tiling.
