Royal Addiction Posted July 10, 2015 #27 Share Posted July 10, 2015 I love the port in New Jersey, but all the ships leaving there to the Caribbean are the mega ships. What happened to Explorer sized ships? Give me at least ONE other option! Thanks.
trogmd Posted July 10, 2015 #28 Share Posted July 10, 2015 Oasis class home porting in Liverpool UK. An hours drive for me. Never. Going. To. Happen. :D That would be my dream to come true as well lol. :)
Joe12 Posted July 10, 2015 Author #29 Share Posted July 10, 2015 (edited) Oasis class home porting in Liverpool UK. An hours drive for me. Never. Going. To. Happen. :D:D I wish that all 3 of them come to Greenock during the summer (45 minute drive). In all seriousness though I foresee one coming to Southampton at some point for some roundtrips. In all seriousness though I foresee one coming to Southampton at some point for some roundtrips. I don't think an Oasis class will do round trips from Southampton. Maybe a stop off on the way back to the U.S. (Like Oasis did last year) I don't think us Brits filled enough berths on the Anthem this year so a bigger ship will be a bigger risk. (FYI- I know Anthem is sailing full - just not full of Brits.)
Arizona Cruz Chic Posted July 10, 2015 #31 Share Posted July 10, 2015 St. Louis would be nice. Harmony from Navy Pier in Chicago would be nice! They can include Phoenix on that plan! :D ***

epcopres Posted July 10, 2015 #36 Share Posted July 10, 2015 I agree with bringing a bigger ship back to Norfolk. It baffles me that you leave Baltimore and go down the Chesapeake Bay to pass Norfolk to get to your destination. Seems more costly in time and fuel. bigeck Posted July 10, 2015 #39 Share Posted July 10, 2015 Vision class in Edinburgh. Easy for a British Isles round trip and easy for Norwegian Fjords and Baltics. A lot closer and nicer than Harwich. Princess is sailing full 12 nighters around Britain. Royal Princess this year and Caribbean Princess next year. Rci need to have a look at a round Britain cruise

It baffles me that you leave Baltimore and go down the Chesapeake Bay to pass Norfolk to get to your destination. Seems more costly in time and fuel. Yeah that is weird. Maybe they have some sort of deal with Baltimore for bringing tourists into town. Or maybe Baltimore charges less to dock a ship than Norfolk, making the increased gas worth paying. I've never thought to sail from either place because they seem like they'd be cold.
