jimmy2x Posted January 1, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 1, 2016 We've found that it is quite pointless to make any rules for a cruise since we know darn well that they will be ignored at the 1st opportunity.:D
Rare Copper10-8 Posted January 1, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 1, 2016 To start packing suitcase, garment bag and sea trunk prior to my last evening on board - Doesn't work; I'm still packing my stuff at 2200-2300 hrs on the night prior to arrival. sail7seas Posted January 1, 2016 #10 Share Posted January 1, 2016 I always say I'll try to eat very healthy. I don't have to cut up all those veggies, salads etc so should be easy. :D Oh well, at least I try.
Rare cbr663 Posted January 1, 2016 #11 Share Posted January 1, 2016 That this is the cruise that we will try afternoon tea in the MDR. Haven't got there yet. We have already made a commitment that we will try it on our next cruise. ;)
Rare Scrapnana Posted January 1, 2016 #12 Share Posted January 1, 2016 During the summer of 2014 I decided not to do any more cruises and save my money for another world cruise. With three cruises in 2015 and two planned for 2016, that didn't work out so well!:o

Happy New Year Spunk! Departing crew luggage is physically inspected by ship's Security (usually) at 2000 hrs (sometimes at 1900) the night prior to arrival in the ship's Marshaling Area. Then placed in a separate crew luggage bin(s) and collected on the pier the next morning by the crew member. For those with officer status, the inspection takes place on disembarkation day (early) morning in the gangway area upon arrival.

RMLincoln Posted January 1, 2016 #16 Share Posted January 1, 2016 To take the stairs whenever it's 3 decks or fewer. It works until I get stiff or sore feet from long land walks or a cruise crud cold, or I'm late, or.... the elevator doors just opened as I was walking by.... or m--

Rare Hlitner Posted January 1, 2016 #20 Share Posted January 1, 2016 I always promise myself that I will walk a few hours every day plus spend some time in the gym (on an eliptical). But I routinely break the promise and spend most of the time in a comfy deck chair (with my Kindle) with a morning Bloody Mary, afternoon beer, etc. My rationalization is that I am getting enough exercise just moving the glass from a table to lips :). Loreto Posted January 2, 2016 #25 Share Posted January 2, 2016 I decided not to eat any rolls/butter that are first placed on the table at dinner. Our assistant dining steward was beside himself, saying "Please Miss Karen, have a roll!" I did. Yummy rolls and butter are hard to resist.:) Karen
