What is a Slot pull

A group of people decide to go in for the slot pull. Each person puts in a specified amount of money and I turn does a specified number of pulls. after all have pulled the group splits the proceeds at the end. A fun way of getting to know people.

Your Roll Call usually sets this up. Everyone pays, like, $10 to join. It is set up by the casino staff. You sit at a slot machine, maybe 5 all next to each other. Then, you don't pull anymore you hit the buttons to play as fast as you can and it is timed. I forget how they determine the winner but they do. I did it once but it wasn't fun hitting buttons as fast as you can.

A rack of machines arranged by the cruse ship is not a CC member pull.

I am setting up two slot pulls for our upcoming cruise. Here is the way that I do it.

Wheel of Fortune machine

$15 entry buys 5 pulls at $3 per pull

Sign up at the M&G or at the machine

Sign in and pay at machine

Play in order of sign in

Late sign in ok as long as first round is playing

No replay entries after game start

By group vote, additional rounds may be played

for those interested.

Payout will be the share, paid out rounded down

to the closest dollar and left over change will

go to the person who has won the greatest amount

for the group. (don't have to worry about the small change)

Lucille will be book keeper (full disclosure of money)

and will start the round. I will anchor the team.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

Have participated in several shot pulls - never seen it done this way.

The ones I have done have been organized by someone on the roll call. In fact have often heard them say we would pick a machine or machines on arrival in the casino specifically so staff didn't know which machine we were using. Everyone pitches a specific amount, usually has been $10, and an agreed upon number of pulls. Winnings were split. A fun mixer!

Casino gave key chains to everyone in our group last time. We had about 50 people.

The main reason that I like the Wheel of Fortune is for the spinning wheel on the top of the machine. When the spin wheel hits, everyone in the group can see and cheer. Can get very exciting for everyone.

The "play as fast as you can" is a slot tournament..not a "slot pull". Tournaments are set up by the casino itself....has nothing to do with a roll call!

Take the amount paid in, subract the amount paid out. I remember playing on Carnival many years ago. Everyone wanted to win the ship on a stick.

Are you sure that was a slot pull? Usually a slot pull is with one machine and as a PP said, everyone pools their money and they take turns on that one machine and then spit any winnings at the end. Maybe what you did was just a different kind of slot pull...??

This is a ship's casino sponsored event that usually takes place two or three times during a cruise. The winner gets around $500 or so if you outlast the other 19 or so participants. It costs about $25 or so to join.

Apologies for asking too many questions.  I was just reviewing our cruise file and there was a protocol mentioned in a HAL email dated August 5 that states that we "need to provide proof of full vaccination at least 14 days prior to embarkation."  Do we need to upload our vaccination card, or simply provide proof at embarkation? I don't recall, but perhaps it was in the check-in process.

Provide proof at embarkation.

The description she gave was a slot tournament not a slot pill, both can be fun.

Are you saying staff can rig the machine beforehand, if they new which machine was to be used?

Another way of loosing money.........

The time to play the slots is on the first night at sea at machines closest to the casino's entrance.  No guarantee even then, but, I think the odds of winning are the greatest at that time.

# 1 Myth of slot machines according to Simply Slots magazine. The machines operate on the random number generator RNG and are not changed during cruise. Look it up on internet. Bottom line they don’t have to change the RNG, they always win. I have seen loads of theories with locations to win and times, they are all bogus.

What are you referring to by "they always win"?

The machines are set at the factory with a percentage of win which is always under 100%, mostly in the 70s or 80s. Over a period of time the machine will pay out what that percentage on the machine is.

So, whomever owns the machines and runs the casino is unable to alter the machines once they are in service?
