Royal Suite Class program - Roll Out Date?

Recommended Posts

I'm on the Ovation April 22 sailing in a Star Class suite, is there interest of me doing a review of the program? For example, I just received a survey from my Genie today; don't know what it entails yet, but am happen to "report" on it and the rest of my experience if there's interest. :)

Is there any interest? YOU BETCHA !! :D

I'd love to have a look at the survey once you can post it. It would be interesting to see what kind of information they're looking for upfront.

THANKS,

Tom

I would LOVE to see the survey!

Looks like you might be the first to experience the program, so definitely, please share a review if you get the time. I'd be reading along the whole time! :D

Very interested. Thank You. Also in a Star class suite on Harmony in June. Would love to hear your experience when you return.

Add me to the list of those who would love your review of the program. How exciting to be sailing on the newest ship in a Star Class Suite. :)

We are on Ovations inaugural on the 14th April and have also just received an emailed questionnaire from the Royal Genie. Ironic really because I was just drying a teapot! Looks as if this cruise will be the first trial of the new programme. :)

That's exciting! Didn't realize it would be out that early!

Any chance you could screenshot/copy paste the questionnaire here?

So they'll have your Genie dress up as Ben Franklin for dinner ?? LOL

Tom

hahah, that made me chuckle - Looks like they will dress as ben franklin, while bringing you your favorite beverage and the cookies your mom baked for you when you were a kid as well as a winning lottery ticket!

I AM JEALOUS - I knew i should have taken that loft suite that came available for 8 hours....Instead, i'll just mind my riff raff P's and Q's in my crappy owner's suite....:D

Hey! Glad to see someone from our sailing, and I'm super curious to see the real difference between these two suites. Perhaps we can compare notes onboard!

I called Royal yesterday and after being transferred to roughly 3-4 different areas they got a "specialist" on the phone and said that they do not currently have anyone onboard to manage the new emails, yet.

We're very interested in seeing your suite as well! We'll be sure to stop by and introduce ourselves. Thanks for sharing the info in the emails. We hope to see something soon.

Thanks so much for posting the survey. Of course as a single guy traveling with one of my closest friends I don't have a lot to say about what I enjoy with my family unit, especially since he and I will have some very different answers - but still interesting.

Could someone refresh my memory as to when one is contacted by the ship to find out if you have any requests? We'll always ask for a small fan among a couple of other things.

The Genie questionnaire, to me at least, is a bit of fluff. I don't really care to have them try and think outside the box to surprise me.

My "perfect" day would start with waking from a restful nights sleep following a win of 10 or 20 grand in the casino the night before... but that's just me! Hey, perhaps I shouldn't knock it before I try it... YEP, that will be the start of my answer to question #1 when I receive the questionnaire ! :D

Our experience has been that when we've been contacted, it's been 5-10 days before the cruise. However, that experience may not be relevant in the light of the new suite perks and Genie's.

NicholeandChris ... have you received the pre-cruise questionnaire yet?

Nope, not yet, you? Based on when the other folks got it, (and assuming quantum/anthem genies are working within the same time frame), I estimate that we should receive ours some time next week. But that is a complete guess.

No, nothing. The only cruise before us is on 4/30, only one week before. I would think we would've already heard something. I called RCCL about a couple other cruises this week and I also asked about the Royal Suite Class rollout and after being on hold for 15 minutes for him to research I told him it wasn't worth the wait. The agent was really polite, but its very clear they don't have any info either.

I would have expected to see the welcome letter that is supposed to come after booking. I wouldn't have expected it when we booked last November, but would have expected one by now if for no other reason than for them to exercise the process. I'm surprised at least someone hasn't at least shared a welcome/preparation letter for the 4/30 cruise if they're getting this form that was posted.

A photo of the group of genies was posted on Facebook yesterday. It was taken while training in Germany.

From the photo I count 21 genies. Assuming equal distribution amongst Oasis, Allure, Harmony, Anthem, and Ovation..that's 4 per ship with one left over.

…and factor in the fact that not all will be working at the same time as even magical genies get vacation time.

One of the genies is not in the photo.
