Royal Suite Class program - Roll Out Date?

Recommended Posts

Expect 3 genies PER qualifying SHIP.

Is this from a reputable source?

The layout of the ship makes this seem difficult.. The loft suites are very isolated. The aqua theatre suites are located across the boardwalk from each other, plus the advent of the 4 bed room suite... Not sure how 3 genies could make this work.

Expect 3 genies PER qualifying SHIP.

I'd find that hard to manage since part of the experience was to escort guests and their luggage onto and off of the ship directly, even if all the star class guests arrived at different times, hey would have quite the load to manage.

On that topic, any speculation on what star class should do when we arrive at the pier? Normally porters take your luggage immediately, but from what I've read it sounds like your luggage is taken directly onto the ship when you arrive. We got our documents a week or so ago and they included luggage tags, so I'm assuming just handing it over to the porter since it'll be the 1st or 2nd week of the program.

Bob, thank you ! Yes, both of those links worked. The first was to the new brochure and the second was an old one !

I appreciate it very much.

I believe and hope you might be one of the first to report back to CC on how the experience was. Hopefully you do not feel the "growing pains" of the new perks as they are being rolled out.

It would be nice if the luggage was placed seperate so it would be waiting at your cabin prior to 1pm. That would be a simple and great perk.

Interesting question ! It will be interesting to see how they manage THIS !

Yea, I don't know that I've seen any of the April 30th Star Class speak up, so we'll likely be the guinea pigs. It's not a big deal to me personally...as long as we have a drink package and the speciality dining included, I'll make due in that Owner's Loft (twist my arm!)

I'm hesitant to do a live review as I've never done one before, but we'll see how I'm feeling once on board. Maybe I'll set up a separate twitter account to post quick photos and news without the commitment of writing a long explanation with each post.

Which Owners loft are you in? Yes, live reviews are a lot of responsibility.

I think there's only one owner's loft, but it is 1701 on the May 7th sailing.

We were originally booked in the grand loft but switched when the prices changed to be essentially the same. My husband really wanted the extra 100 sq ft!

I don't think there are any 4 bedroom suites on oasis or quantam classes. they must plan on having this program roll out to freedom class since they are including the presidential suite in the brochure. They must be planning on having 1 genie per side of the ship for the 2bedroom aqua suites

I just looked at the deck plans on Oasis for a good reason and 1701 is actually a GLS and 1758 is an OLS. The good thing is though they are practically the same layout, but the owners loft being marginally bigger.

The reason why I looked is because just last week I accessed both 1701 and 1758 on Allure during turn around day and snapped some pictures. I thought you might be interested in seeing them. These photos are of 1701 but it is the same layout as 1758.

This is the master bedroom. You can see the tub in the raised bathroom in the background. There was a separate washroom with large shower, toilet and bidet. I didn't snap a photo of it as the stewards were still cleaning it.

A view of the living area. The balcony was behind me in this photo. At the far end to the right is the cabin entrance door. This the left is the smaller of the two bathrooms. The couch to the right is also a pull out bed. One of the two cabins I toured also had a cot beside this couch.

This picture is from the far end date of the living area now facing the balcony. There is a bar fridge to the right under the counter top.

This picture is taken from the same spot as the last one only I have turned to the right 45 degrees. Behind this door is the second bathroom with large shower, sink and toilet. Before the door to the left is a mirror with a cube ottoman to sit on and while you do your make-up. This washroom had not yet been cleaned as well so I did not snap a picture of it.

The cabin had lots closet and drawer space. I hope you enjoyed it.

I look forward if you report back regarding how the genie worked out, as well as the other perks.

Thanks for the photo tour Andrew !

We'll be in 1758 in May, so it's nice to have a look ahead. :)

I don't mind staying in cabins in advance to give you a tour prior to your sailing in them. [emoji6]

I also hit up a CLS as well, even though I have some pictures from a previous cruise. It is nice to have pictures without personal items in them. You never know when having them might come in handy. [emoji3]

Those are awesome pictures. I am testing now to see how to post photos quickly from my phone to maybe do a live-ish/feed review.

So this was Allure? I am looking at the Oasis plans now and I see 1701 as the OLS (same shows on my booking page)...the OLS (1701) is the one that is like 1200+ sq ft. if I am reading the plans correctly? Man, hope I didn't accidentally switch to the smaller one!

No, you got it right and I misread the newer May 2016 deck plans for Oasis. I think you should be happy with the cabin. [emoji3]

Yea, cause we NEED those extra square feet....that like losing an entire inside inside inside cabin! :D

Off topic - are there instructions on how to post the larger size photos inline with your post? I am a long time lurker but recent poster to the forum and if I do post live photos I don't want them to be so small they are worthless! Is tapatalk easy to post photos with?

I just wrapping up a live 2 week review from Allure, called High Tides and Great Vibes and I did a lot to of research prior to going live. I used the Cruise Critic App which is Tappa Talk based and easy to use. I also used another app for photo resizing to put the photos into a proper, but not a oversized format which in turn makes the text super small. That way they look the same size as the ones I posted on this thread, and not small like the one you posted.

I also used the "test forum" section of CC a lot prior to going live just to make sure I knew what I was getting into well before starting. It is a lot to of work if you are going to commit to going live. I put about 2-3 hours into it every night and time throughout the day along with periscopes etc. One night I was up until 1:30 and rolling the next morning at 6 am.

I enjoyed doing all of it though and will do it again.

I generally access this forum using the CC App, but I use the TapaTalk app for adding photos. No need to do anything other than click on the camera icon.

Here is a pic from TapaTalk.
