OfTheSeasCruiser Posted March 9, 2017 #1351 Share Posted March 9, 2017 Hmmm 3200 passengers from AOS + 2100 from Jewel = 5300 for Oasis. Support the demand? I dare say yep... cause Jewel would be gone for 28 days heading to LA and back! ;).... and I think you'd get a ton of b2b cruisers with a Aruba/Curacao/Cartagena itinerary + a St Kitts/Barbados/Antigua itinerary + 6 seas days combined + a turn around day to enjoy Old San Juan in port if you're a b2b'er. And thinking even further, you can do the above + match dates for a Jewel PC 14-day as well for a total of 28 days at sea. {Sigh} back to reality.... I like your thinking! :D

Rare John&LaLa Posted March 9, 2017 #1354 Share Posted March 9, 2017 Doesn't make sense to me.... new refurb (Florider & slides) on Adventure... so put her up in cold weather port on cold weather fall itineraries?? Freedom (no slides) makes more sense in Bayonne to me. I should be the head of deployment of RCL! Instead of what I feel is a stupid deployment of all 4 Oasis ships in Florida doing all the same thing over and over and over and over and over again, I'd put an Oasis ship permanently in SJU with superb 7 day itineraries including Aruba & Curacao (just like current Adventure itineraries) with 3 sea days (for ship revenue). I would then take Jewel with mixed shorter and longer cruises, including Panama Canal 14 day to LA and back. While we're on this topic, I'd put a Quantum Class ship in Alaska... sell out in a heartbeat in my humble opinion. For any of you who have ever been on Northstar or Two70 or sitting in front of the amazing floor-to-ceiling glass in the Solarium, can you just imagine watching the glaciers, whales, etc from these venues? Goodtime Cruizin Posted March 9, 2017 #1355 Share Posted March 9, 2017 Of the half dozen or so ships we've cruised on, we enjoyed the Adventure the most and that was before the re-furb. So.... since we're all speculating, I say bring her to Galveston, our home port. LOL
CRUISEBOY305 Posted March 9, 2017 #1356 Share Posted March 9, 2017 No, you are ok. Nothing for the Adventure is showing beyond 4/2018. But Freedom shows in San Juan beginning in November. Just speculation on where Adventure ultimately ends up, but given FOS is in San Juan and articles have been cited that indicate another large ship in NE in Fall 2018, it's a possibility. mac_tlc Sent from my iPhone using Forums Freedom in San Juan begging in May 2018

Tall-Cruiser Posted March 9, 2017 #1358 Share Posted March 9, 2017 If there are any Celebrity fans here, Celebrity Edge showing sailings out of Ft. Lauderdale starting in December 2018 Probably will take Allure's spot from Terminal 18. I was thinking even though Allure is moving to Miami, RCCL will not easily give up Saturday or Sunday's at Terminal 18, FLL. Why Allure to Miami with Symphony? Maybe upcoming competition from other new builds, MSC, Virgin, NCL, Aida to name a few.

I'm from Oz Posted March 9, 2017 #1360 Share Posted March 9, 2017 So much for me keeping an eye on deployment. Made a call to our Australian office, as even though some itineraries are displayed on the website, the ships are not. Apparently we are not able to book what has already been released to the US market (don't know about the UK). Our deployment will be progressively rolled out until August. Well you know what that's too late for me to transfer a 2017 booking to a similar (if there is such a beast) itinerary in 2018. It may already be booked out as the Vision 2017 TA was when I went to make the booking when we were on board Radiance last September. So, I've had enough. Jumping ship. Loyalty is irrelevant. Very unhappy.

harz99 Posted March 9, 2017 #1363 Share Posted March 9, 2017 Hi Lorraine, I didn't think it was possible either, but Bigeck posted something about it yesterday, and I asked the question and someone else said it can be done!! We've never changed anything we've booked in advance so far, this will be the first time. LuCruise Posted March 9, 2017 #1369 Share Posted March 9, 2017 I ended up booking Symphony last night. Waiting to see Harmony prices ,which should be al little lower , but prices only go up so at least we have something. What amazed me is that on day 1 of when it went on sale, all interior rooms with the virtual balcony were sold out and we got the second last promenade room (for 4 people). We are booking for March break so probably not like that for all Symphony cruises, but still...Wow. We'll see Harmony... If lower we'll switch.
