The Eurodam just received its 11th consecutive perfect rating from the USPH at the unannounced inspection at Port Everglades. This is a record breaking accomplishment in the industry! Great job by the crew and officers, as usual.

The below was taken from an article regarding Eurodam's accomplishment.

"In 2016 six additional Holland America Line ships previously earned perfect scores, including Eurodam, Koningsdam, ms Maasdam, ms Veendam, ms Noordam and ms Westerdam. The year previously seven ships received 10 perfect scores: Eurodam, Noordam, Veendam, ms Zuiderdam, ms Nieuw Amsterdam, ms Ryndam and ms Statendam."

What I find almost as impressive as that accomplishment is the number of 'Dam' ships earning perfect scores. (42% of the fleet in 2016 and 50% in 2015). In addition to Eurodam, the Noordam and Veendam were repeat 'winners'. These speaks directly to HAL's training and leadership.

Can you bring 2 bottles of wine on HAL like you can on Carnival?

We don't drink, but our daughter, SIL....drink Wine.

Thanks for any information.

You can bring one corkage-free bottle per adult, for use in your cabin. If those bottles are brought to the dining room, or a lounge, they will be subject to the $18/bottle corkage fee.

You can bring as many additional bottles of wine as you can carry. That's true both at initial embarkation and subsequent ports.

So, if there are four adults in your party, you can bring aboard 4 bottles corkage free. The ship won't track who drinks them. ;)
