Good morning from thePacific Princess; Land Ho:D. We are nearing our tender spot for our stop at San Del Sur Nicaragua. We should be tendered within the hour. Today we have a scheduled short three hour ship based excursion for a scenic area drive. Holli is feeling a little under the weather so we may be skipping it. I may instead hop off the boat for a few to grab some souvenirs and take a few pictures. We’ve got a bit to decide, but I’m kinda leaning towards having her rest up. The only hard thing will be in convincing her to stay in bed.

Weather isn’t too bad presently. It’s a little overcast and humidity is there; however, it isn’t too bad at the moment. Of course, it’s only 0555 hours local time:D.

Hope all have a great day and a fantastic weekend…..

Bob

Such a nice problem to have.. tell us what the lucky numbers are [emoji13]

I have a request of you if you do not mind.. I believe you are right next-door in fact.

Could you kindly ask the neighbors if you would be able to take a picture or several of one of the following cabins: 8066/8069. They are basically verandas but have aft views.

The reason I started following this thread is because of a planned trip on Pacific Princess.. and I'm looking very seriously at grabbing one of those two for this Fall.

Thank you in advance, Bob!

Cheers,

(Another) Bob

Good morning Bob. I'm a little leery asking to take pictures of a cabin while they are still occupied as I tried once before and was rebuffed. Another thing is , for the last couple of days, the internet hs been kinda slow and I've been eating up more minutes posting my one picture in my posts. I will try and take some pictures when we get to Ft. Lauderdale and just before we get off the ships after the cabins have been vacated. I could then email them to you. In the meantime, I might suggest trying a google or bing search of the two cabins in question to see if you can find some pictures that way.

Hope this helps.....:):):)

I hope this is not a shock to you, Bob, but that is the strategy of all casinos--towards all their patrons. Normally, though, they prefer to take all, not just a bit, of your money.

;)

So agree regarding the level of "give" and "take" in all the Princess casinos in the last year or so. They for sure are not "giving" much back at all. And because of that, the casinos have been less and less crowded. Noticed this through out the fleet lately.

Dunno... we were on Pacific Princess in December for the holiday cruise and I made some money at the slots and a good bit at the blackjack table. :)

I am a VP at one of the largest casino companies (with 24 properties and nearly 30,000 slot machines) and while some is correct most of what people think/hear/tell about how slots work/don't work is not correct. And some is actually quite humorous how off base it is from reality. Even my wife holds to some "old stories" which are not correct and I've repeatedly told her so... [emoji15]

Checking in from San Juan Del Sur Nicaragua. We got back on board about an hour or so ago. Had a great day ashore. Very, very humid but still had a wonderful day ashore.....:):):)

Bob, this picture this made my week. I have been sitting in my mom's hospital room since Tuesday night when she was admitted for a broken femur. Things are finally calming down after surgery this morning. This was the first chance I've had to get caught up with your thread. Thanks again for posting and especially for this pic.

Hi Bob, does the buffet still close down and turn into a Bistro In the evening? If so have you tried it? We ate there one evening and the menu was pretty good. It was a nice change from the dining room for one evening. Have you had a chance to try the pizza on board? From what I remember it was more like an Alfredo's on some of the other ships.

Ok so what did you buy today?

Sorry to hijack this thread but just want to tell Jeannie that she and her mother are in my thoughts. After following her for years I feel like we are friends although we have never met. I'm also enjoying cruising with Bob and Holli everyday! Karen

Following along. In one of your posts I thought you said the link to your blog was in your signature. But even when I expanded your signature I could not find a link to your blog. Would you please post it since I think you might have more photos there??

Love the pic, too. Reminds me of when we met in the MDR on the PP in Papeete as my DW and I were boarding and you and G were getting ready to head off on your "side trip" to some S.A. islands.

Hope your Mom heals 110% and in no time at all!

Good evening from the Pacific Princess. It's a little after 2200 as we sail towards Costa Rica. Tomorrow we loose our second of three hours due to time changes. We get to sleep in a little bit later tomorrow as we don't have to meet up for the excursion till 1030 hours.

That's all for now, I'm beat.....:):):)

Good morning from the Pacific Princess. We are still about 25 miles, according th the Princess TV channel from arriving at Puntarenas Costa Rica. The skies look a little bleak at the moment, but the channel says no rain. I don't know if this will hold up on our planned excursion today. I guess we shall see later:D.

I'm getting ready to do some cardio work on the track before a light breakfast. I'll have the time to do both since we don't have to meet up for the excursion until 1030 this morning.

Thant's all for now. I'll check in later after the excursion.

Hope all are well.....:):):)

I'm sorry to be so obtuse but I still don't find the link to your Flickr page in your signature. I've expanded your signature and it's an impressive list of cruises but none of them are links to a Flickr page. What am I doing wrong?

Or will the link be in your signature after you post the photos?

I copied this from Bob's signature. It does not specify this link but rather says My Cruise Pictures on Flicker at the very bottom

Woobstr112G, Bob, I am following along and finally looked looked at your flikr pictures. I love you dog Misha as she has aged. I noticed you have a dog beg/pillow with dog fabric. Several years ago I made several dog beds with this same dog print fleece fabric for our dogs.

TV stats

Hi Bob,

Love following along your trip- sure wish you had bandwidth for additional pics along the way!

Silly little Princess tradition we look for- not sure if still used-

On the stats page (ship's tv channel), sea conditions, speed, sunset/sunrise... there used to be 'Sea Condition', and , when the wave were very small, I think less than 1' high, Princess referred to them as "Wavelets".

Have you seen this term still used?

[emoji846] [emoji305]

Cheers,

Bob
