Not sure why but the proper abbreviation for Pacific Princess is actually PA. Of course there is no Princess ship that actually uses the designation PP so it isn't really confusing like some of the other ships.

Since you have cruised so many of Princess' ship and so many times, I would love to read your thoughts on sailing big and small Princess ships. Perhaps a comparison. :):)

 

I love big ships. But, do think about sailing the Pacific Princess at some point.

I believe from previous discussions that PP is still reserved for the original Pacific Princess (may she rust in pieces). It may help when cruise histories are reviewed.

I'll definitely be doing a review. Just got back from the Champagne Waterfall in the Atrium. Getting ready to do Sterling's for formal night. I'm all dressed up in my tux getting ready to have a fantastic evening. I'm quickly becoming a small ship convert. Only been on the Pacific Princess for three days, but she is definitely growing on me.....:):):)

Good evening all from the beautiful Pacific Princess. Holli and I just returned from a great evening out. I first, finally on my 11th Princess cruise in a row, observed the Champagne Waterfall. After that, Holli & I, along with her DS and DS’s hubby had a fantastic meal in the Grill (Sterling’s Steakhouse. Service was over the top excellent. For the first time in many cruises, the food actually wow’d me. My fillet melted in my mouth. Holli also commented that hers was cooked to perfection as well. During dinner, the ship’s assistant Matri D came to our table and chatted with us for a bit. He did give me some information that was different from what I had heard from a waiter in Sabatini’s. The Matri D told us that Club Class will actually be in the Club Restaurant and Sabatini’’s will stay where it is.

 

Tonight was our first formal night. Since I’m a traditionalist, I loved getting dressed up in my tux. Ordering it from cruiselineformalwear dot com and having it in my stateroom was very convenient. I noted many fellow cruisers dressed up for formal night. I did note there were more suits than tuxes.

 

Tomorrow is our first port stop in Cabo San Lucas. We chose a ship based sail & snorkel excursion. I’m really looking forward to it.

 

I noted that the Pastry Chef created a nice display outside the dining room for Mother’s Day. I unfortunately did not get any pictures of it.

 

Going to try and make this short so I can get a good night’s sleep prior to getting up for our excursion. So, the entertainment today was as follows: (Abbreviated)

Good morning from the Pacific Princess. We just dropped anchor outside of Cabo San Lucas. We are tendered right next to the Celebrity Infinity. Our excursion begins in about 30 minutes. I'll report later this afternoon on our adventures.

A late good morning from the Pacific Princess. Holli and I just got back from breakfast in Sabatini's. Service was excellent as was the food. I just wanted to mention something so I won't forget to post it down the road and in case some haven't heard the news. We were talking to our waiter about the upcoming dry dock. He informed us that the current venue for Sabatini's will be transferred into the Club Class dining room while Sabatini's moves into the share the venue with Sterlings. He isn't too sure about how they will rotate it, but right now the schedule is two days of Sabatini's and three days of Sterlings......:):):)

I think the question was if Sabatinis was only available for breakfast or also for other meals.

And, yes, on most ships it's only for breakfast.

Suites can eat lunch (on sea days) and dinner in the Club Class area of the dining room.

 

When the Pacific Princess is refurbished it sounds like one of the Specialty restaurants will be available for Suites and Club Class for all meals on sea days and breakfast and dinner on port days.

Also good to know that we can delay our complimentary dinner for Sterling instead of Sabatinis. Is Sterling similar to the Crown Grill which we have always chosen in the past?

I would have guessed that DS meant "Dear Son." If that is the case, then "DS's hubby" implies that Dear Son has a husband. OK, they're a same sex couple. However, in a previous post, and I don't have the patience to find it, now, you referred to DS as "she."

 

So, please help out the old guy. What/who is "DS?"

Good evening from thePacific Princess. Holli & I just returned from dinner and a short stop at the shops to pick up a few sundry items. The food in the MDR was very good. I had the Curtis Stone offering which was white fish and muscles in a somewhat spicy cream sauce. Holli had the always available salmon while her DS and hubby had a rather sizable portion of prime rib. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. Our waitstaff seems to be very good as well. After dinner Holli and I made a short stop at the shops to pick up a few sundry items. Holli’s DS and her hubby decided to go to the show but we decided to head back to the cabin to get some rest. Right now, I’m sitting on our balcony listening to some classical music as we work our way out of the San Pedro harbor area.

Loving the review and totally jealous of the ship and the suite. I am, however, really hoping that the Patter is listing "Poolside Grooves" rather than "Groves" as taking care of the trees on the cruise would be a major hassle. ;p

Good afternoon all. We just got back on board the pacific Princess from our short time in Cabo San Lucas. We got a bit of bad news as we were walking to our embarkation area. Due to the somewhat heavy swells, pretty much all of the ship based excursions that involved a boat ride were canceled. Oh well. We just took the tender in and walked abound for a couple of hours while stopping at a place for some cold refreshments.

 

All aboard for passengers is at 1330. We are scheduled to sail at 1400. We have three sea days to look forward to which are my favorite.

 

That's all for now as the Panorama Buffet is calling my name.

Very similar. The menus are slightly different.
