Florida_gal_50 Posted November 7, 2017 #51 Share Posted November 7, 2017 I really enjoy the schnitzel in the Lido, but honestly don't remember seeing it on the menu in the Main Dining Room. I will have to look for that on my upcoming cruise. I enjoy it to. I've seen it on the lunch menu in the MDR but I've seen it at night too. On the cruises I've been on its more often at lunch than dinner.
KroozNut Posted November 8, 2017 #52 Share Posted November 8, 2017 I do wish they had larger vessels for it though; I need like 4 of those shot glasses each morning haha. I hear you... one of those tiny glasses is definitely not enough!;)
KroozNut Posted November 8, 2017 #53 Share Posted November 8, 2017 Agree with the hot dogs, and cheese plate! Cheese plate is a given for me.... love them. But please tell me more about the dogs, are they awesome or what? And are you referring to the Dive-In dogs, or just the regular daily dogs? Inquiring minds want to know! The fries aren't too shabby either. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

FRANKIEDNYC Posted November 9, 2017 #59 Share Posted November 9, 2017 :)The Indonesian and Oriental dishes on the noon buffet are great. Love the fruit crisps of the day, raisin buns, English breakfast, scones at afternoon tea,. Pea soup, bone in ribeye in the Pinnacle and many others. They say some folks gain a pound a day on a cruise. I see how it can easily happen. We are booked on 2018 world cruise and I hope I don't gain 113 lbs! Rare POA1 Posted November 9, 2017 #60 Share Posted November 9, 2017 You'll have to look for these in the Lido at breakfast: Ensay Mada (or ensaymada all one word.) I am so happy that I didn't find these until the end of the cruise.
mamaofami Posted November 10, 2017 #61 Share Posted November 10, 2017 I love the escargot. They make them with just the right amount of garlic and oil. I was eating in the Pinnacle one night when they were serving them in the main dining room. They brought an order to me there.

KroozNut Posted November 10, 2017 #63 Share Posted November 10, 2017 DW was pleasantly surprised to find lugaw (rice soup) sometimes available at the asian station in the Lido at breakfast. My DW loved this and had it every morning for breakfast in the Lido. They called it 'Congee' on Oosterdam last month. DW is originally from Taiwan and makes this for herself at home fairly regularly, but says Oosterdam's version was way better!
Alaska59 Posted November 10, 2017 #64 Share Posted November 10, 2017 I just love the pre made available sandwiches during the day, particularly when the lido is closed and I just want a nosh. I specifically like the egg salad sandwich.

RedneckBob Posted November 15, 2017 #69 Share Posted November 15, 2017 ... better'n possum? Excuse me ? I don't eat animals that are my pets. Actually I prefer smoked ribs, marinated for 48 hours, served with whipped Idaho potatoes and lightly steamed okra and all served on a paper plate.
