We’ll be on our first Celebrity cruise in a December. Since we’re Diamond on Royal, we’ll be Elite on Celebrity.

We’re very excited about the perks and looking forward to our cruise.

Thanks for all the tips!

They are only separate lines, sometimes the lines for regular cabins are shorter. The only real advantage to boarding is if you are in a suite of if there is a delay in boarding.

Good to know! I guess my real concern is embarkation! We had a really knarly situation in San Francisco when we thought we had allowed for plenty of time. Long story short.... we only made our flight because it was delayed. Hope that we never get in that situation again!

Is there anywhere that specialty coffee is available at no charge for Elite? Is regular coffee available at no charge at Café El Bacio on deck 5 on Solstice?

You can get Cappuccino at the Elite breakfast for free.

Bummer for you. Not our experiences.

We were on the Eclipse cruise after the TA--Dublin to Iceland and back. Same thing, Elites no priority on the only tender port (the Shetlands). Too many Elites and many, many presold Celebrity excursions (they had priority). Only 2 tenders could be on the dock at a time, even though Celebrity had 5 tenders working. Since we hate to wait in line for hours (we heard people lined up over 2 hours before the tickets were distributed) for a tender ticket, we went when it was clear--about 3 hours after tendering started. Much shorter visit on land then we anticipated; glad we had not reserved a rental car.

Anyway, it just comes down to the cruise and itinerary for the Elite tendering tickets. It is not a given.

Not sure if I will use laundry on board again. Last Cruise on Silhouette, our clothes came back full of fuss and lots of hair: long hair which neither my husband nor I have. Did not want to complain or send it back as I did not trust service anymore. Spent long time plucking stuff from clothes and took items back home for washing, without having worn them again as honestly was a bit disgusted. Therefore this benefit has no more value for me.

Concerning the Elite drinks...they are limited to the Sky Lounge except when there are over 500 Elite or higher Captain's Club members aboard and then they are pretty much in almost all the bars on the ship and 3 drinks are loaded onto your Sea Pass card.

We found some of the other bars would even let you start as early as 4:30pm vice the normal 5-7pm.

I didn't realize your free laundry could include jeans as it does not on RCI. How soon do you get laundry or pressing back? I find on RCI that if I send out in the morning we get it back by next evening.

Yes, you can send jeans to the laundry. Any item of clothing. Generally we get it back the next day; I don't think we've ever gotten it back the same day.

...and then they get tagged with your cabin number and thrown in with a few hundred other pieces...:-)

I think the laundry visit is my favorite part of the "back stage" tour--forget the bridge, the cool stuff are those sheet and towel folding machines!!

Yep. Whites with whites and darks with darks.

Bummer. But all our experiences (limited tendering) have been Caribbean and Pacific Coastal cruises for tendering. A real nice perk.

We elect not to do the Elite breakfast. Can you get complimentary Bloody Mary's and Mimosa's with the Elite (+) breakfast?

Yes. In addition you can order specialty coffees.

We like it. Not a heavy breakfast eater. Also it is very relaxed in the very nice atmosphere of the Tuscan Restaurant.

I thought we were told we could get them. Thanks for confirming.

I recommend wearing your Elite room card on a necklace, so everyone knows your status.

Also be sure to cut to the front of any/all lines, while loudly proclaiming "get out of my way, lowly peasants! Elite member coming through!"

Are you serious? Is that what you do?

Of course not.

Wearing it on one's necklace would be so last century, a sign that you are a member of the older generation Celebrity no longer wishes to attract.

These days it is much more appropriate to wear your seapass card on your nose ring, where it is more readily noticed.

If it does not already have a hole in it, just ask at Guest Relations and they will be happy to punch a hole for you

(either in the seapass card, or your nose, as you prefer).

Just to be clear, there are not separate breakfasts for Elite and Elite+. It’s all one event. Fruit, pastries, cold meats and cheeses, salmon with usual accompaniments, yogurt. You can order mimosas, Bloody Mary, cappuccino, caffe latte, smoothies, juices, tea.

That's good to hear. I've got a big nose, nice to know I'll be able to make good use of it! 😂😂😂

We never need more than the 90 mins each so the internet is a nice perk for us (only time we came close to using it up was during Fantasy Football season when my husband had to change his players all the time (or whatever it was he had to do).

And I'll never turn down free gelato.

The laundry bags are a great perk - we have to pack much less since we know we can wash halfway through.

We don't get beverage packages so the cocktail hour and discounts on wine were very helpful.

We've also used the casino match plays (to no successful end, but that's not their fault)

I really have no complaints and am very grateful for all the freebies.

Is the wine discount per bottle or glass? How much is the discount?

It's a one time percentage off of one bottle, there are some more restrictions, I don't recall what they are. If you are a wine drinker and do not have a beverage package, they also offer multi-bottle discounts (not anything to do with Elite status) in all the dining rooms (well, Blu and the MDR, I don't know about Luminae).
