What is the 1 thing you would like to see Carnival improve?

The number of accessible cabins. Since they changed how they rate the accessibility of the cabins, there are very, very few that are labeled as wheelchair accessible now, and even fewer that will sleep more than 2 people. There are several accessible cabins that we stayed in in the past, that are now called "ambulatory accessible" and are not for people in wheelchairs anymore. My husband is in a wheelchair, and cruises are the easiest vacations for us, but Carnival is really missing the mark on their accommodations.

I think Carnival should reintroduce the plank for dissatisfied cruisers to walk off.

Most of the suggestions would lead to an increase in cruise prices, some are already available if you do your research and choose your cruises wisely. For those willing to pay more, there are already other cruise lines offering what you are requesting. Perhaps Carnival isn't for you. I don't see Carnival going back in time. You can't live in the past.

You didn't answer the OP's question: "What is the 1 thing you would like to see Carnival improve?"

The question of whether things should always remain the same was not posed! If you don't have an opinion on the question asked, then just state you don't have an opinion. Or otherwise start your own thread to address your concern.

Find a way to allow Cheers to be used on Half Moon Cay. It's frustrating that you lose that opportunity to take advantage of your Cheers program while on Carnival's own private island. If the infrastructure isn't there to do it on HMC (which I don't know why it wouldn't be), maybe provide an option to get a credit to your shipboard account equal to what you spent on the island once back on the ship. Might require keeping receipts and standing in line at guest services, but alot of people would probably find it worth the small hassle to get some money back.

Return to the old loyalty plan where cruises were counted, not days at sea! Sure, those that live close to the ports have many more cruises than I do but living in the middle of the country makes it harder to reach Platinum or Diamond level. I reached Platinum at 10 cruises but my son now has 10 cruises but still many days at sea away from reaching same status. Go back to counting cruises not days.

While I don’t think the current system is great I can’t agree with a return to the old system. Sorry, but someone that takes 10 3 day cruises shouldn’t have the same level of perks as people that spend significantly more money on longer voyages. The system should be company wide and based on $$$ spent. You should get more credit for booking a top of the line suite than the cheapest interior room. With the old system someone could reach Platinum status spending less money than many people do on a single cruise. That isn’t a sustainable system and would mean perks would be non existent.

I would LOVE to see a few more Spirit class vessels. I have not yet had the opportunity to sail on one but the deck plans appear to be perfect for a nice relaxing cruise. Just a bit bigger than the Fantasy class, more public areas, more balconies/suites, and hardly any extra crowds. Seems perfect to me.

YES!

You really have to book a Spirit class ship. Her size is indeed perfect.

We've sailed Legend x 2, Pride x 2, and Miracle x 2. (Miracle is still my favorite ship of all.) We could walk forward to aft on every deck. (No need to go up two decks or down two decks to avoid the galley. like on the larger classes.) These ships have three pools, even though there are fewer passengers than Conquest, Freedom, Dream, and Vista classes.

Best of all, Serenity is the entire aft deck and has a pool and a big bar.

Now, to answer the op's question, I would like to see loyalty levels honored on all Carnival Corporation cruise lines.

Since I'm Platinum on Carnival, I'd like to be Platinum, or the equivalent on Princess, HAL, etc.

Very well stated.

We reached Platinum under the old system. I cruised seven 7-day, one 8-day, and two 4-day cruises before the program changed in November 2013. My husband had one less 4-day and one more 8-day than I did. If we booked under the new program, he would actually have had more days than me by the time we each hit 10 cruises.

My first vote would be to add the 18-25 young adult hang out place. My son is 17 and on the spectrum and loves the clubs, and since he's turning 18 this year we won't be cruising anymore.

My next vote would be for more seating availability on decks and in comedy shows.

Could we please get someone to cut the chicken in the proper order before it's fried ?

I mean when you cut a chicken leg in half it becomes a chicken nugget ,with the bone intact .

Here's mine, no particular order:

More dessert selections after 9 PM. Keep one side of the buffet open with desserts. DH loves the ice cream, but I prefer other stuff.

Combine loyalty among all CCL brands.

Referral program like Princess. I keep sending people to Carnival, I should get something out of it.

Relocate the Casino so that it is not on the main drag and I must try to hold my breath while walking by.

Howdy,

The One large area which needs improvement, IMHO, is the Training of the Staff.

I have seen way too many times Staff even at the Pursers stations berate cruisers.

Enforse the procedures even stoping the chair hogs...

So true. Likely wouldn't cost them a dime and they'd waste less. I wonder if the chicken comes from their chicken dealer cut that way or something though maybe.

Counting days, as opposed to $ spent, provides equality in gaining loyalty levels to those who are not as wealthy, yet sail just as frequently.

Carnival is a brand for the masses.

I'm not stating that Carnival does this, but I know for a fact that you can buy the "ugly" pieces from chicken processing plants. these are the miscut parts and strange looking bits. We used to do this when grilling for large outdoor events such as softball games and church socials. Very affordable way to feed a crowd.

Our family are platinum and we live in Florida so we have been to just about all of Carnival’s Caribbean Ports of call. We would like to see Carnival travel to some new ports. Let me suggest Martinique and Guadeloupe for starters. And any chance you can bring back the topless Funnel deck?
