Are the other restaurants buffets?  Nope.

Really doesn't matter, there are plenty of ways to spread germs in all of the restaurants.  Menu, salt shaker, back of chair, etc as well as everything else people touch on the ship.  The buffet is just one area where many people touch the same item.

Indeed. There are also the railings, chairs, door handles, our seapass cards, and countless other surfaces. That is why we would be wise to wash our hands with soap, properly & frequently, AND carry hand cleaner for those times we're not near a sink. It's impossible to avoid every microbe & virus, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't make the effort to avoid picking up illnesses, and/or spreading them. Anyone on this thread who has worked in hospitals (or even taken a microbiology course) knows that making the effort is much better than throwing up our hands and giving up.

Could be time for a price adjustment, possibly?

bon voyage

Interestingly the price actually went up... at least for E3 cabins.... I was a bit surprised at that. I am sure that they want to keep the premium position and this cruise is already running cheaper than later cruises.... returning a day before Christmas eve is likely one reason.

I understand. I was going to say I was almost certain it was Cosmopolitan, but then began to second guess myself, thinking it was Cyprus lol. Not much help, I know😜

At least we are 99% sure it Is one of the MDRs . As I was looking at the deck plans, I discovered an easy way to remember things - Cosmopolitan, Cypress, the Club, the Casino, Cafe el Bacio and Celbrity shops  are all on the same deck.  It's all th "C's".j

Ok, for a new item to bat around...

I just heard Edge's ship's horn again (I am on the port webcam), and IMHO it is wimpy.  I really expected her to have a low-pitched mega horn that would tell everyone who she is.  It is kind of disappointing.  :classic_sad:

Marilyn and Henry, thank you so much for entertaining us in your S1 cabin and sharing a bottle of wine.  The cabin tour was very helpful and gratefully appreciated, but spending the time with the two of you was a true treat.

Looking forward to seeing you both on the January 20th sailing.

The remote does not have input options unfortunately.

I usually bring a universal remote control on cruises. I program it for the brand of TV in my cabin and then can use the INPUT button. While the S suites on the Edge have TVs that swivel out from the wall the  IV cabins definitely have fixed mount TVs. I was ALMOST able to insert an HDMI cable into the right side of my IV TV. If I had had more patience I might have succeeded, or if my hand was slightly smaller, or if the TV was just a quarter inch farther away from the wall, or if I had asked my DW to try it....

Thanks! You know, when I booked my cruise over a year ago, there werent many A2 available and only A1 that were just after cabins that protrude out. However, 10219 to 10227 were available and ai remember having a hard time deciding btw 10225 and 10227 but for some reason I went for 10223. I think I was too excited about booking at a great price that I didn't noticed that my cabin was not 10225! Crazy.

Does anyone know if 10221 has the bed by the IV or the bathroom? I thought it was by the bathroom, but now I'm not sure...

Be glad you didn’t have a car in the garage this morning.  Arrived at our car at 8:30 and went through the cashier at 9:20.  We hadn’t eaten so were big time ready for breakfast. BK never tasted so good.😉

Hope you are continuing to feel better,

Katie

It was a mess at that garage. We got there about 15 minutes before you and it took about 20 minutes.

I think I have you beat! I was in garage at 9 and had parked on the 5th floor (only thing available when I got there). One hour to get to booth. I thought I was being smart by staying on board late to avoid rush hour traffic!

We were on 3 and I was feeling for folks on 5.

VT - Do you know where the designated smoking areas on this ship are?  Want to make sure I stay away from them. 😊

I just know about the starboard side of Sunset Bar. They didn't publish the info in the dailies (and I didn't see it in the app), likely since these were trade and press cruises. I would bet that they will put it in the dailies on Saturday. I will post a copy of the daily.

I hate to tell you, but we had the best disembarkation ever. We got up at 6:30 and packed, showered, etc. and then went to Luminae at 7:30 for a wonderful relaxing breakfast. Went back to the cabin to brush our teeth and then walked off with our luggage - no lines at about 8:45, grabbed a cab and we were checked into the Hilton by 9:00. We did have to wait for our room to be cleaned since we wanted one of the port view rooms. We are down 3 rooms from the last one - same gorgeous view. Love it here!

Is there a designated smoking area in the retreat?

Hey girl, you so deserved that after what you’ve been through.  Luminae sounds so much better than BK.

Our house was chilly when we got back, how rare.  I had a long sleeve jersey under  another long sleeve top and had to grab a fleece after getting home.  Somehow I’m not New England tough anymore.☹️

Enjoy your day in Lauderdale tomorrow and Bon Voyage on Saturday.

Katie
