I agree about loving the app.  It really does do a lot.  I am also looking forward to next time where I can relax and really play with everything and take my time getting pics that I need.  That day and half cruise just wasn't enough for me.

There’s still time to get onboard!

I feel your pain. Never enough Edge!!!! 😀

Really curious as to how big the closet space is for hanging clothes as it looks quite small from the video … and is there room under the bed to store luggage? Also does anyone know how much space is between the edge of the bed and the wall - enough to get aa scooter through?  Thanks …

On Wednesday in my IV I measured the distance between the EDGE of the bed and the wall - 22 inches, 23 if you compress the covers a little. Several posters have expressed a concern about bumping into the TV when walking between it and the foot of the bed. It is not a problem, even though one of the photos on this thread makes it look like it might be. My DW and I crossed that path many times in our 2 days there and had no encounters with the TV, and didn’t even have to think about it. There is tons of storage under the bed, both horizontally and vertically. The closet space, however, is nothing to brag about.

I’m sorry FM for taking so long to answer your questions.

From Peter (Esprit) about The Edge and change in Cruise Director:

"Quick update. Lewis Power-Stannard is now on board and will be the Cruise Director until 8 December. He'll then return to the Edge as CD in early January.

Apparently the music noise from the Martini bar area is to be toned down whist people are eating close by.

Lots of stuff is work in progress so I hope guests can appreciate the fluid state of what is happening around the ship."

Hi Marilyn -    First remedy for healing is a great attitude and you have it in spades!   🙂

My Doctor recommended these and I had good results with them.   Mine were not this brand but a silicone sided "bandaid" just like these.  https://www.walgreens.com/store/c/scaraway-scaraway-silicone-scar-sheets-1.5-inch-x-3-inch-1.5x3-inch/ID=prod6019237-product

Also pure Vitamin E oil or gel.

THANK YOU for all the great photos and commentary.

Joe

Just getting to these posts! Thanks for the advice!!

Do you mean Cruise Director change? 🙂

No, CitrusCruiser mentioned that her stateroom was reclassified as an Aqua.  I am asking because I was on the app today, and mine said under "Stateroom Details"

Stateroom - 8239

Veranda/Aqua Class/Concierge Class

Then listed me and Barbara #2

WTH is THAT supposed to mean?

Yours is an accessible IV - no change! There were about 20 cabins changed earlier this year to AQ from IV Veranda or Concierge (probably because of the demand for AQ and they can charge more).

I am also happy to be a member of the club, but do not get to personally see it until April’s TA.  However, with all this forthcoming information, I should be extremely educated and have a diploma for the 11268 club❣️

See you in April...

Welcome to the club! 😊 We will graduate to 12260 on the April TA, so we'll be toasting you from above. 😁

Ok, good.  Thanks.  I don't like negative surprises, if you know what I mean.  Obviously, IT doesn't know what they are doing, either.

Vtcruising and others that were onboard thank you for your posts, they have gotten us even more excited to get onboard:)

Was wondering if anyone that was onboard got any pictures of the inside of the funky shaped inside cabins attached to I believe a suite. We are really curious what our room will look like. Hoping like the other rooms it will have things like the plug near the bed for CPAP machines.

When I booked on the first day of the release for the Edge I just picked a room blindly on deck 10. During the build process X reclassified them and I was notified. I had spoken to a guest who had Aqua on the 2 day sailing and they said they had the body sprays in the shower. So I will check it out tomorrow!  When they reclassified the rooms there was no upcharge so I wound up with an Aqua at C3 price!!

I ordered the Steakhouse Margarita, not knowing it had A1 steakhouse sauce in it - yuck! He replaced it with something more my style. He got a kick out of my face when I drank it - caution -always read the ingredients!

Marilyn, who doesn’t like A1 sauce in their Margarita? Double yuck!

Bon Voyage Marilyn and Henry, and sleep well tonight.

As January members of the 11268 Club, Katie and I eagerly await your commentary and photos tomorrow, or whenever is convenient for you. We will be interested in hearing how it compares to your last S1 in 10147.

May your embarkment tomorrow have a little less drama than last time and your battle scars (I still think it was LLP in the Martini Bar) heal quickly.

Yes indeed. Let's hope and wish for a Royal Carpet Treament and an Officer Escort. The self service did not work for our Queen VT last embarkation. And I am certainly not suggesting she get in a navigational vehicle just to get on board earlier or more easily.

She is our AMBASSADOR, and she ranks first in line. Tall and Proud!

He thinks he hit the settings button above and went under temperature  to change string - there must be one for lights too.

It was funny because I would check my room temp at the other end of the ship with my app and change it, if desired and it would be the new temp when I returned. I was going to try the drapes too, but didn’t. Next time....

Love the app!!

Thanks!  What phone settings are you using for the free app?  We will not have unlimited Internet.

That's what happened to us - we sail on Jan 20th - will be waiting for you comments about the room and spa.

Since I had free unlimited internet for the trade and press cruises, they gave us a code to log on. We always put our phones in airplane mode.

I can only assume there is some sort of code to be able to use the app for free on the internet. I imagine I will find out later this morning. 😀
