Guarantee room assignment

Sailing on the December 19th Nieuw Statendam and no room assignment yet.  Anyone on this sailing receive theirs???  I’m getting impatient!!!   I’ve been reading all the blogs from everyone on the ship now and I’m so looking forward to this trip.

Might want to post this question on the Roll Call for your sailing to get a better response.

 

BTY - most assignments nowadays on HAL come the final week prior to sailing, as they are working the upsell process first.  Of course this can vary, if the ship sells out early.

Seeing how close you are to your sailing, one would think by now that HAL would have assigned you a cabin.

 

Have you checked on your Roll Call to see if anyone has gotten their guarantee cabin assigned yet?

we recently sailed on the Koningsdam and received our guarantee cabin number 7 days before sailing.  Turned out to be worth it.

As commonly discussed here, room assignments can come anywhere from 25 days out, to dockside. Average is about 10 days, which, coincidentally, is today.

Checking 5 or 6 times a day doesn't seem to help, but it can be sort of fun.  By 5 days out you will want to do that.

We had to take a Neptune Suite guarantee with a recent casino offer and was told we would find out 2-7 days  before sailing....hope it's 7. Out of 47 cruises we have only done two guarantees because they were one week before sailing and we found out our cabin assignments at the terminal. We prefer to select our cabins, but couldn't do it with this particular offer. The Neptunes are all sold out so I keep checking every day just in case - the cruise isn't until Feb.

My cabin assignment came through tonight and I was excited to see we got an aft facing vista suite, AS 7189.  We booked the BC Vista.  No complaints here!!!

That's terrific.  What type of guarantee did you have - suite or OV?

We have a SY Guarantee on the Prisendam this Saturday Dec 15. 

 

Check  E-mail frequently. We had an upgrade offer to SA Neptune Suite today  and it was taken 15 minutes after receiving E-mail. Snooze you lose. Upgrade to SA or SB for $149.00 per person! Well that stings!😡

 

SY is still a nice suite but we will miss one of our last opportunities for breakfast in Pinnacle Grill. Looks like Orange Club in the future!

 

We were told our cabin will be assigned at the end of this week. So maybe a one day notice.

 

In the end we are so fortunate to cruise as much as we do. Life is good!

 

We always have a great time.😀

I didn’t get an email, but checked my account and cabin # was listed were it previously said BC Guarantee.

See you onboard!  We were offered an upgrade to a Neptune for $749 pp.  Way too much for a 4 day cruise, IMO.  I would rather spend extra $$ on specialty restaurants...

I think guarantee assignments used to appear on luggage tags a couple of days before they were listed anywhere else.  Is that currently the case?

Our guarantee came in today - 10 days before cruise start.
