v3cruiser Posted June 8, 2019 #2 Share Posted June 8, 2019 Pros Great passenger to space ratio. Never felt crowded. Serenity location. Nice size rooms. Plenty of space on lindo. Dance club. Spirit class. Steakhouse. Friendly staff. Cons Lack of 2.0 food options.no guys bbq. Blue iguana or bbq or cucina del capitano.. the wok would be backed up with people on sea days 30 or more deep.
evandbob Posted June 8, 2019 #3 Share Posted June 8, 2019 Liked the expansive mini suite. Liked driving to Tampa with its valet parking. Cruised in August of last year. Had a terrific T Storm with lightening bolts all around us as we cruised down the harbor, awesome. Disliked the open atrium to the steakhouse, made it way too noisy. Karaoke and name that tune games from 5 or 6 decks down made conversation in the steakhouse difficult. Disliked the overall Farcus decor, hideous purple and weird. Has seen its day.

PhillyFan33579 Posted June 8, 2019 #5 Share Posted June 8, 2019 (edited) Unlike a previous poster, I love the decor of Miracle, but I am a big fan of Joe Farcus and find the decor on Carnival’s new ships boring. What I like about Miracle: 1. The Serenity area is awesome. It is nice and quiet (it’s located at the aft of the ship) and everything you need is right there including a bar, pool and spa. 2. I like the layout of Spirit class ships where the majority of the night life is located on deck 2 3. The sports bar is one of the largest and best designed in Carnival’s fleet. 4. The Red Frog Pub is also large and usually has a live band playing there every night. 5. The ship has two decent size pools with a large bar in between the pools on the lido deck. 6. The ship never felt crowded when we cruised on her. The only real negative we experienced is the location of the Alchemy Bar. A line for the MDR forms right next to the Alchemy Bar every night before both early and late seatings. This makes the area crowded, but it doesn’t last too long before the crowd moves into the MDR. These two are my least favorite ships. I'm so glad to see the backside of them with Panorama coming in, what, December? It’s interesting how people view ships differently. Miracle is one of my favorite Carnival ships. I love the layout of Spirit class ships and have never missed the Lido 2.0 bars and restaurants when sailing on Miracle. The only must have upgrade in my book is the Alchemy Bar, which Miracle has. I would pick a cruise on Miracle over Vista or Horizon without hesitation. I can’t comment on Panorama since I haven’t been on her yet.

I like the roominess of the Miracle and all the Spirit Class ships and while some Farcus is cool other is meh but overall we wouldn't take back any of our 5 west coast cruises aboard the Miracle. We'll miss the 4k cabins with doors.
VentureMan_2000 Posted June 8, 2019 #9 Share Posted June 8, 2019 While not official, there is a strong inference that the Miracle will be dry dock Feb 14 to March 1, 2020 -- and is suppose to be updated with the remaining 2.0 upgrades that is does not have yet.
GLCM GUY Posted June 8, 2019 #10 Share Posted June 8, 2019 Though the Miracle does not have all the buzzer and bell upgrades she is one of our favorite ships. Love the Chop Stix Asian place, layout and especially the crew. Am glad she is coming back to the west coast even if just for a short time. OBTW the Pizza is KILLER! CA_Cruzing Posted June 9, 2019 #11 Share Posted June 9, 2019 Isn’t the Miracle coming back to do Hawaii and then head to SF as her port? Regardless, we’ve sailed Miracle, Splendor and Pride all out of LB and suffice it to say we’re look forward to Panorama. We thoroughly enjoyed Vista 2x and it’ll be great to have Panorama in LB. She’s a massive upgrade from all of LB’s ships of past.
Get your fat pants on Posted June 9, 2019 #12 Share Posted June 9, 2019 Hey Ventureman 2000 where did you hear that? We are scheduled for the Panama Canal cruise on March 2 and would love to have those updates. I do enjoy the Spirit class ships and would love to have Guys and Dive in Movies on our 17-day cruise. dbrucern Posted June 9, 2019 #13 Share Posted June 9, 2019 Love the Miracle but the grapes in the dining room do get to be a bit much.
Djptcp Posted June 9, 2019 #14 Share Posted June 9, 2019 The Miracle is one of our favorite ships because: -great crew! -French Door cabins at low Interior Cabin prices (door to outside, granted it's an obstructed view, but having natural light at interior prices beats an interior with no natural light) -French Door cabins at low interior cabin prices have a couch and coffee table and regular interior cabins don't -easy to navigate layout -wonderful casino -big outdoor smoking area on Lido Deck
lasvegascruising Posted June 9, 2019 #15 Share Posted June 9, 2019 Going on the Miracle in January from San Diego. Five night cruise to Cabo. Paid $350 each for hubby and myself in a balcony cabin which I thought was a great price. Can't wait!

minniegidget Posted June 9, 2019 #18 Share Posted June 9, 2019 I’m going to be sailing on the miracle Nov 2020. Hoping that when she comes out of dry dock she will have Guy’s, Blue Iguana and the dive in movies. 15 days would be sad without those 3 but still will be happy just to be on a cruise.

Doggielover68 Posted June 9, 2019 #20 Share Posted June 9, 2019 Like: ship doesn't usually feel crowded, plenty of chairs indoors and outdoors, nice serenity deck, simple layout, deck 3 that completely loops around outside, Chopsticks restaurant on Lido Dislike: Not enough movies (usually 1 per week), crowded comedy club with uncomfortable seats at awkward angles, too much reserved seating in the comedy club (they must have had 50+ reserved/disabled seats that were totally empty)

Anyone got a schedule of Pride's last drydock? While I'm almost certain that Guy's and Blue Iguana is happening, is the two week dry dock enough to do the Dive-in movie screen? Got a long way to go until Miracle Feb 2021 Hawaii... 😲
CanWeGoYet? Posted June 10, 2019 #22 Share Posted June 10, 2019 Another fan of the Spirit Class ships here. I love that the Miracle has the most space per passenger ratio of their fleet. Gatsby's Garden, a nice place to sit inside. Nice wrap around panorama deck, library not just for books but for playing board games, good large serenity area, and the french door interior cabins are fantastic. Not just a bit of natural light, but you can open those doors for fresh air. For an inside cabin price! How great is that? The Farcus decor in the MDR is loud, but I don't mind it. Purple and Vegas-y and out there, I wouldn't want to decorate my house this way (maybe for a party or halloween!) but I can enjoy it on a cruise. From another thread: According to some of the staff officers I talked to at the D&P party on Miracle several months ago, they are planning to add the 2.0 bars and restaurants on Lido during the next dry dock. They did not know if they would be adding an outdoor TV like on Pride and Spirit when I asked about that.
JaniceB Posted June 10, 2019 #24 Share Posted June 10, 2019 I think the 2.0 upgrades will be a great addition.

These WILL be replaced with full-height windows. No more fresh air.
