Pizza and Burgers on NCL Ships?

Where is normally the best place to get Burgers and Pizza on NCL Ships?

At the buffet.   Don't get too excited about the pizza though, it's edible but nothing to write home about.

You can get burgers at Margaritaville (costs extra), O'Sheehan's (24/7) and on sea days for lunch in the main restaurants of most ships.

Depending on the ship, La Cucina has good pizza. It is extra cost. The buffet pizza can be ok if it hasn't been sitting for too long. Same for the burgers. I prefer O'Sheehans because it is served fresh. If the buffet is cooking them frequently they are ok. I have not had a Margaritaville burger but they look really good.

Pizza is marginal.  However, I always though the buffet or outside grill burgers were pretty good.   Big patties, cooked medium well (no pink), juice and with flavor.

the burgers in the buffet are good, but like others have said, get them when they are just put out.  If you want a fresh one, cooked to your liking, then go to O'Sheehans.  The burger with 6 wings make a great  combo

I am a Pizza snob so I am not expecting the best Pizza on a cruise ship. Just decent.

Free burgers at "The Local" on the Encore ..... They are pretty good. At least they were on the Bliss.

Neither the burgers, nor the pizza, is anything to write home about in any NCL venue.

Having said that, if you can get the pizza in the buffet seconds after they bring it out, it's passable.

The burgers at O’Sheehans or the Local as it’s called on the newer ships were pretty good. Enjoyed them on Bliss, Escape and Getaway. Did not do pizza on the cruises so can’t speak to that.

I never had Pizza on any cruise ship because I've never been cruising before.

MSC Divinia too, 4 or 5 different pizzas out all the time, couldn't walk by without grabbing a slice. they had one that was called a pizza cake or something like that, it was horrible though.

I highly recommend the burgers at O'Sheehan's!  As good as or better than you'll get at Green Turtle (here in MD) or Applebees, IMHO.

 

Pizza...I haven't done this lately but we ordered pizza on the Gem years ago via room service (we paid the extra $$) & had it delivered to Maltings Bar where my son & I were watching a US football game on a Saturday afternoon.  It was delivered in a standard pizza box & it was actually pretty good!  As I said, I haven't done this lately but someone out there might give it a try...

As a pizza snob myself, you need to go into your cruise expecting to be disappointed by the pizza. I don't even bother with it, finding plenty of other good things to eat that week.

I won't touch a ship pizza unless I see the chef(?) take it out of the oven and slice it.

The best shipboard pizza I had was on the Carnival Splendor.

@hallux Very true re: Applebees!  It's certainly not the best but it's edible at least...lol

 

The best burger I've had here in MD was at a local tavern named Bushmills.

Most cruise ship pizza is what I call bar pizza at best.  No better than a frozen pizza.  I had decent pizza on Carnival and Princess.

 

The NCL burger is large and quite good if it is freshly cooked.

Tried pizza brom the buffet twice on the Dawn...did get past one bite either time.  I have had much better pizza on Carnival and Princess but the fact they were more freshly prepared probay helped.  I liked the burger I had in O'Sheehans and on Lido deck.
