Fast Track Priority Boarding

Recommended Posts

Families with strollers have it easy. The stroller does all the work.  Families without strollers have it harder, dealing with young whiny children who have tired feet.

Seems like it should be “Any guest with a whine factor of 5.1 or higher can use the special line”.

Maybe the thinking behind the strollers getting priority is because children sitting in a line and not moving,  they tend to melt down and scream and no body wants to wait with a screaming child

The way I see it is if they wanted kids then they shoud deal with them. I don't think they should get anything special or extra. I was reading another post where the father thought it was "cute" to let his kids play under and around their table in the MDR. What's wrong with people?

I would assume that the reason that Strollers And Assistance Needed Are separated from the others has nothing to do with giving them priority but with the width of the lines in what is now the ‘standard’ line.  They must not be narrow and not ‘accessible’.

Exactly. You wanted the kid(s) and wanted to bring them on a cruise? You deal with it appropriately and not punish the people without them.

Side note, I've been cruising since I was 9 years old. My parents expected me to behave like any other adult in line and I would've gotten my behind handed to me if I behaved the way majority of these kids do.

Same here. We were taught to behave. To many snowflakes being raised these days. People also don't like being told that their kids are disruptive and not "cute" when playing on the MDR since someone had my post removed in the Cruising The Oasis With Small Kids With Celiac thread.

OMG there are some whiners here.

From what I recall of the distant stroller days, the stroller gets the diaper bag and all the related junk that gets stowed under stroller.  If these families go in the regular line, as soon as they get to the scanner, the child comes out and all the packages have to get pulled off and put through the scanner, including the actual stroller which needs to get collapsed first.  All of this causes delays in the regular line which I'm sure leads to huffing and puffing from all the impatient whiners about the family with kids who is slowing down the line.

So Royal takes them out of the line to avoid delays, and people are still complaining.

Umm moving them to a different line will cause the same delays ..only to people who have earned not having to deal with delays. Y virtue of their status, cabin category or forking out extra moola

Another reason that waiting in line at entrance to MDR for our table with MTD is not all that bad.  Glass in hand.  Standing cocktail time!  😄
