Once onboard I would go for the Glenfiddich, Campari or Tequila and then perhaps an Irish Creme. With the three vouchers I like the flexibility so by being able to go to a Bar closer to the theater or dinner is great. I would start with a Campari or Gin and Tonic Aperitif , Glass of Red Wine and either Irish Creme or a Scotch. I happen to like Glenfiddich. Single Malt Scotch is not included with the 3 free drinks. The Scotch provided is usually Dewers. Edited August 24, 2019 by Scotty G

I save them for when @John&LaLa posts kids acting like kids in the SL or Suite Guest dresses like they are on vacation. Lol That's odd, I see more suite guests dressed in PJ's in the SL than Pins. And I've definitely been there more often, and more recent. 😉🇲🇽

I just hope you're not one of those sitting in the DL during the entire C&A HH drinking as many drinks as you can handle so you don't need to purchase the BP. Or leave shortly before the end of the C&A HH and go to dinner and immediately order 3 drinks before the cut off. 🙄 Why would you care if someone chooses to do that?

travelplus Posted August 24, 2019 #135 Share Posted August 24, 2019 For me I like the Scotch as I like to sip it and to me a little goes a long way. I would much rather get a Double Scotch for after the show than some cheap wine. A good Glenfiddich(one of my favorites) is great. Then I may get a glass of wine or Campari with Dinner or beer. To me its not about the quantity its the quality. Glenfiddich over New Amsterdam anyday! The Tequila Royal Features is also decent.

dswallow Posted August 24, 2019 #147 Share Posted August 24, 2019 (edited) I wouldn't expect RCCL to adjust loyalty programs to provide some measured value; they seem to take some amount of pride in offering only limited value and negating that value in as many ways as they can, such as offering "discounts" that ultimately result in equal or higher prices than discounts most anyone can get in advance. It was just sad to see how an edict came down that bartenders are required to open cans/bottles served to guests using their C&A Happy Hour 3-free-drinks around the ship. They're actually not allowed to serve them an unopened can of soda so the guest can save it for later. Cheapness, personified. So sure, I might otherwise consider it tacky that someone is maximizing the drinks they can get in the Diamond Lounge plus those they can get at any bar for the C&A Happy Hour, but RCCL is being just as petty with limiting brands at bars and doing what they can to control how each person enjoys their free drinks, so I just sit back and let them go at it. The whole system needs a revamping, for a variety of reasons. Edited August 24, 2019 by dswallow

On days we have breakfast, we have fresh squeezed OJ. I also have a mocha coffee from the Promenade Cafe. At dinner I enjoy having one or two glasses of wine and I am not a fan of the wine served in the DL. I also have a drink or sometimes 2 in the casino after dinner and most times it is Johnny Walker Double Black scotch and soda which is not available in the DL. A few times during the week, I may have a Pina Colada or Mango drink. All day and at night I drink bottled water. Now, to you, I might be a heavy drinker, but compared to many with the alcohol package, I am not. I certainly don't drink like the above at home, but a vacation is different just as I don't eat as much at home as I do on a cruise. Thank You, I too, have the fresh sq. OJ in am, by the pool, a frozen drink or 2 at the pool,a latte in the afternoon, pelligrino sparkling waters or plain waters whenever,a couple of cocktails in the casino, music hall or theater(wherever we happen to be).I,too, dont indulge like "this" but I AM ON VACATION

I disagree that this is "cheapness" on Royal's part -- they are still paying the same for the can of Coke, whether it is opened during Happy Hour or handed over unopened. Cheapness would be if the free can of Coke wasn't actually Coke, but rather some generic/store brand of cola. If you get real Coke when you're paying for it and no-name cola when it's provided for free at HH, that would be cheapness.
