Agree. I think some people feel they need to “get their money’s worth”. We enjoy our cruise, and enjoy our cocktails, but I think we never have more than 3 drinks in a day. Even with milkshakes, coffee, bottled water and soda, I’d never come near breaking even.
TanyaH321 Posted October 10, 2019 #28 Share Posted October 10, 2019 I'm on the Valor right now. My son saw the man before and when it happened. He said the man was pretty well drunk. He fell from the deck by the water slide onto the glass of the atrium. My son is 16 and was pretty shook up that night. He was sure he just saw someone die. We are glad he's ok at the moment.

He was probably up on the Panorama deck or Jogging Track and fell to the Lido deck. Anywhere near a bar open at midnight? Define breaking even? I can easily drink 15 drinks in a day if it's a sea day.

Like all the diabetic obese pax who order multiple entrees for dinner in the MDR and overload their plates at the buffet? That kind of responsibility? Hopefully the guy who fell recovers.....but for the grace........ Edited October 10, 2019 by evandbob

Yes, let’s hope he makes a full recovery so this individual with excellent judgement can return to his job in law enforcement. I’m sure that he being out there responsible for public safety is a hope echoed by others like you.

Don't think Serenity bar on deck 12 is open that late. So nearest bar is on Lido. But they could have taken the elevator from the casino or lobby bar. Well, I’d say 3 cocktails, 2 specialty coffees, a bottle or two of water, and a soda comes to about 8 drinks, and about $40. I’d love a milkshake, but don’t think my diet would like it, on top of all the other food I eat! So, no, I’d never break even.

I'm no engineer but I've never seen a four foot high deck on any Carnival ship.

WPTNGirl Posted October 11, 2019 #38 Share Posted October 11, 2019 Forward elevators go to 11 and then the spa elevator goes to twelve. Stairs up to Deck 14 from there.

I would die from 10 margaritas...literally. It is refreshing that she thanked the Crew instead of blaming them though. I love that. We needed the medical center on our last cruise and they were amazing. I was pleasantly surprised. Nice that someone complimented the staff when it's usually the opposite and it's the ship or the staffs fault in some way or another.

CallistaSkye Posted October 19, 2019 #44 Share Posted October 19, 2019 At least he is okay. Accidents happen. I'm glad he wasn't severely injured, and didn't hurt anyone else when he fell.
