Question: I know this year this cruise is a double celebration, Presidents cruise and 50th. celebration cruise, and I am sure it is something to do and experience. But next year Did they already announce when the presidents cruise is and on what ship? I have only read about it well after it is announced. Just curious when they let the details out. Keep posting dialogue and pictures, love it. Thanks again Safe travels. Last year we learned during the Q&A with MB I'll pass on whatever I learn 2

nat9511 Posted November 3, 2019 #732 Share Posted November 3, 2019 I am really sorry that I am missing this cruise but will enjoy reading what you post. The first week of August I had two strokes and spent 3 months in 3 hospitals and two rehabs learning to walk and talk again. I am doing fair and hope to be able to cruise again some day. It was disappointing to have to cancel this one. I booked it a year ago. Enjoy !!!!!!!!

They definitely want us to go to Chops for breakfast, and they say they will cap Pinnacle at the first 30 for lunch. Also, Dazzles happy hour is Pinnacle only That definitely would have had an impact last year. Sounds like they listened. How do the Pins feel about these changes?
cruisegirl1 Posted November 3, 2019 #734 Share Posted November 3, 2019 John, for the sailing, can you get the CK breakfast menu in Chops or is it more like the chops breakfast menu on other ships? Regarding lunch, I would never want to be on a ship that I had to “fight others” for space in a dining facility. I would likely never bother, and just have lunch in some of the other venues on symphony. It seems you and Laura enjoy these president/birthday cruises very much, but I don’t think they would be my cup of tea. No extra party or swag would be a trade off for the aggravation one had to go through, jockeying for position. continue to enjoy m

An earlier post referred to it as a convention, and that is fairly accurate. It is nice seeing folks you don't see all the time. We like that.

Rare John&LaLa Posted November 3, 2019 Author #744 Share Posted November 3, 2019 (edited) Back to the ship. Hopefully I don't duplicate a picture again. 😔 SL was crowded, but not as tight as last year. I saw CLR, but he dissapeared before I could say hi We left early for B2B lunch Menu was a little weak, but shrimp cocktail was excellent and the company was good. Had the good apple pie though, @A&L_Ont Edited November 3, 2019 by John&LaLa
Rare John&LaLa Posted November 3, 2019 Author #745 Share Posted November 3, 2019 (edited) As I said earlier, we hung out at the bar pre dinner and watched GA beat Florida. Good times. Met Tony @dagunny and Dot for dinner. Tony makes buttons, lots of buttons. You will see them on the crew all week. They spent the summer as vagabonds in Europe, and we heard all about it. Laura and I aren't that adventurous, but it is fascinating to hear their stories. They brought us a Bayley Bear, Laura loves it All blinged out with a few of our new buttons You may win a button courtesy of Tony if you play trivia this week. Dinner was very good, tomorrow we will do dinner in Solarium Edited November 3, 2019 by John&LaLa
