Sue Denning joined the ship on 8th Nov. Normally, she is on 4 month contracts, which would mean that she would be leaving at the beginning of Feb 2020.

BUT, I have no idea what will happen during the dry dock, so maybe someone on board can ask her.

Thank you for the info!  😊

I was wondering if you have seen Vitamin water as a drink option. On our last cruise, I drank several of these a day. It was a zero calorie drink....I needed the Premium package to get it and found it most readily in the OV Cafe. Thanks in advance if you are able to answer. Enjoying your review! It is honest and balanced!

I know CD Sue Denning joined the ship on 8th Nov. I was quite surprised that she flew out on Thursday ( learnt via her Instagram account) rather than sail on the TA from Southampton.

We were on the TA from Southampton. Bethany M. was scheduled to be the CD, but was replaced by Alejandro T. due to a medical issue. Sue Denning was on holiday and joined the ship as scheduled. Alejandro did a fantastic job on such short notice.....  The tree is dead. LOL..... I was on the  ship for fifteen days and 'that' never even came to mind as an issue.

Ports are Grand Caymen (today), tomorrow is Costa Maya, then Cozumel followed by a sea day as we return to Port Everglades.

We are on that same itinerary (plus Key West) on the Equinox in April. Costa Maya has us stumped for an excursion--we have never been there. What are your plans? I will look forward to whatever you report on.

Thanks! I haven’t noticed Vitamin Water yet but then again I haven’t been looking for it. Will let you know if/where I see it.

Costa Maya stumped us too, so we are choosing to stay onboard and have a lazy day. Lunch at The Porch, followed by  lounging at the pool with my Kindle, maybe playing cards a bit. Dinner tonight is Murano and Cosmopolitan is the theater show.

Thanks Deb, we didn’t notice that the Porch is open for lunch today.  Now we have set plans not too dissimilar from your day.

I’m a foodie so expect lots of meal pics, LOL. Here is lunch at The Porch.

The lobster roll was a bit spicy so DH wasn’t a fan. They made him a mild paella instead and he liked it.

My fav was the Hamachi appetizer. I could eat just that with the lobster bisque for lunch any day!

The gorgeous view

The fabulous Hamachi appetizer

Cheesy Bread at start of the meal

Ceviche

Seafood “tower”

Dessert trio with a full size mousse so we could remove the raspberry sauce

And the obligatory Lobster Roll of course

Thanks for the updates Deb. We are onboard Thursday. Trying to plan our Specialty dining around Evening Chic and being in ports. The Land and Sea luncheon looked great.

Something we may do if available. Captains Club has no idea about it so may be just a specific ship thing.

Sounds like your early on issues are getting ironed out.
Enjoy your cruise!

Thanks for posting these Deb.  We're sailing Thursday on Silhouette and one of the main reasons we choose Celebrity is for the food!  We bought specialty dining package for 5 of our 8 nights and will need to decide where and when we want to eat.  Looking forward to it.

Just got a voice mail from Guest Services that I was correct and we do indeed each get a $50 casino credit and 2 bottles of wine.

Likewise our room steward confirmed that the minibar is included and it was restocked this morning.

If I wasn’t a regular CC reader I probably wouldn’t have known to insist that our situation be escalated when they tried to combine our benefits. Glad people have shared their experiences here!

I'm along for your journey.   I'm happy that you are passing on so much information to the ship regarding the new drink package.   Amazing they didn't do a better job training the staff.

Loving your review.

Love the for pics!  Thank you for posting.  Quick question, when I contacted the shore side concierge to make a reservation for LCG I was told that they are not open on embarkation day.  But you ate there on your embarkation day, right?  I'm just wondering what the disconnect is.  She said she tried to book on line as well and that it showed as unavailable.  Perhaps reserving once on board?  How did you reserve?

Thank you!

We did Jaimes at the blue reef.  Its very highly rated. It was 49 a person( unlimited food and drink) when we went Summer of 2018.  We don't drink alcohol so they charged us 37 a person.  They only take 37 people a day.  We probably had 10 people there, if that.  The service was great too and the water was amazing.  I wrote a review on Trip Advisor. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g499450-d12446606-r589029039-Jaime_s_at_the_blue_reef-Mahahual_Costa_Maya_Yucatan_Peninsula.html
