Freedom Amplification

We will be on her first cruise after amplification so I've been following the stories regarding what will be done while she's in dry dock. While none of the changes have been confirmed by RCI, here is an article explaining some of the changes.

Thanks. Pool deck looks neat (similar to Navigator).

Looks like a different laser tag, but no sky pad.  Mostly the same items on other ships but still looks good.

Enjoy your cruise!  Hope you'll report back.

When we were on the Freedom March 2019 the LA told us that the CL was going to be eliminated and the space was going to be made into inside cabins and the Seven Hearts and Cloud Nine was going to be the new SL. Same configuration as the Independence and Liberty.

Guess they'll always add more staterooms.

We booked one of the new ocean view rooms that are being added where the kids club is now (looking at the deck plan).

I was on a Freedom last week and was told that the casino will be completely revamped.  There are currently non-smoking tables in the aft entrance to the casino that I played at every night because they weren’t smoky.  Now they’re going to move the tables into the casino itself meaning they’ll be affected by the smoke.

That's too bad.  DH likes the casino (even just watching), but it's so smokey that I don't like being there.  It's shame they aren't keeping a section non-smoking (unless the smoke went to the area anyways).

I just looked at the deck plans and looks like they are putting Playmakers on Deck 4 between the casino and Boleros....a bit of a different location from other ships where it is on the Boardwalk (Symphony) or Promenade

Pretty small area. I think that's Starbucks on Mariner

What is the date and itinerary for this cruise? I have a friend who will be joining Freedom as a performer. He said he would be flying to Spain a week before she sails after dry dock but he didn't know what the itinerary was other than crossing the Atlantic to San Juan.

Loved Playmaker’s on Independence! It is next to the casino and it was a nice-sized area.

Does not seem like an intimate location, but we are planning on doing the CT in October on Freedom anyway. I did not think I would like the Harmony location but it ended up all right even though it was right next to the solarium bistro. I’m curious do you  have a favorite chef’s table of all the ships? Cheers.

Any Radiance ship, totally private room off of the Colony Club/Safari Lounge

Thank you John.  A private room is so much better. The problem with where they had CT on Adventure and Harmony was too much extra ambient noise coming in and it was hard to hear the Chef and Sommelier speak.
