Rare A&L_Ont Posted April 30, 2022 #56052 Share Posted April 30, 2022 We have returned home from Toronto. The drive home was much better than the trip there. Traffic was much better returning. The trip up took an extra hour thanks to a combo of traffic, construction and time of day. We stayed at the hotel attached to the Rogers Centre. When we checked in Lisa and I got an upgrade to a King Suite room, and Sharon and Owen got to share a regular room. Very nice for us but a longer walk down the hall. It did have a large table, so in typically fashion where we ate Tim Hortons breakfast sandwiches this morning. A Timmies was close by so we walked and brought them back. A couple photos before we entered the Diamond. We heard that there were over 35K fans there last night. Just a handful at one of the gates waiting to open. We always arrive early. Houston was having batting practice. This fan was quietly showing his distaste for Houston’s World Series win a few years ago. Certain Houston players got extra boos while at bat.
Rare A&L_Ont Posted April 30, 2022 #56053 Share Posted April 30, 2022 This trip was part of Owen’s birthday gift, and he made the best of it. He got a new jersey because he grew out of his old one since Covid started. For those who don’t live in Canada, last night’s game was promoted for weeks as Bo Bichette Bobble head night for the first 15K into the stadium. We got ours. Sharon noted that she’d like the ground crew to take care of her gardens at home. Home Plate Lady arrived in style. She is a the matriarch for the family that owns the team. She sits behind home plate, second row. I had a brief conversation with her last night. A very approachable and lovely lady. If you have watched a Jays game you will have seen here. The menu for the seats in this area. Let’s just say I ate my value in food as it’s included, “for free”😉in these seats. LOL, we all did. I think I ate something every inning.😋 The Jays batters were on deck right beside us.
Rare A&L_Ont Posted April 30, 2022 #56054 Share Posted April 30, 2022 (edited) We all had a good time but Owen throughly made the best of his early birthday gift. He has signatures on a ball from Springer, Katoh, Zimmer, Espinal, Head Coach Montoyo, and Third Base Coach Rivera. Owen was also a relay player passing hats and balls from the kids in the rows in the section behind him for signatures before the game started. As players passed Owen games balls during the innings, he spread them through the kids in the audience. He’s a great kid. It makes me proud. Owen with Springer. Owen with Montoyo. You know that new jersey Owen got… it’s now a signed jersey. At the end of the game Owen was chatting up coach Schneider and asked for the larger bench lineup card for both teams. He said he could not give that up, but he did give Owen the singular line up card for Houston which is signed by Head Coach Dusty Baker. Hopefully he won’t have his 2,000 coaching win against the Jays this series. He is at 1,998 as of last night. Owen clearly had an amazing day. Second, it is scheduled on one of the two days we are home, after we get off our cruise, and before we fly to California to bring our other grandson here for the summer. We had to drive a couple hours for that Grandparents day but it was worth it. Usually I am on a cruise to watch a musical 😂. Now when the local Grandkids have grandparents day we sometimes get a great homemade meal and sometimes we get them overnight! ….. Homeschooled.. Here is a short vid of the grandson’s kindergarten group. I wish it wasn’t cut off so soon. IMG_4800.MOV This is my granddaughter’s 3 and 4 year old group. How were the seats looking through the screen............After a while does it kind of disappear? When I got my DL when I was 17 got a partial season, season tickets to the Phillies back in the 70's. Had the seats for about 35 years. We had seats in the infield even with the 3rd base bag. This was way before they had the netting and when foul balls would come whizzzing into the seats. You had to pay attention to the game back then when the left handed hitters were up. Their foul balls would come in really fast on late swings. Also looks like your seats were very close when looking at the batter you were looking straight down the 1st base foul line, that's very annoying too. After a while kind of makes you somewhat dizzy. Have to look away or it can give you a headache. I always liked being a little higher up then field level to get a better view of the field and can judge the balls hit better. Do you go to a lot of games during the season, just how far is the stadium from where you live. I have no idea of distances in Canada. I thought you lived in Ontario right and game was in Toronto? Don't where that jersey anymore and it will be worth a lot of money in about 20 years from now when Guerrero Jr. makes the Hall Of Fame. Or Maxx the Mouth (since he is always hungry and seems to eat and eat and never gets any bigger). We've had a double X deal with the last few names of our animals. Maxx is here now (with the previously pictured in this thread) Stevie Nixx (easily changed from Nicks). We had a Husky before Stevie who was named Sixx (after my first favorite football player as a youngster, former UW quarterback in the early 70's Sonny Sixkiller). The chickens are Thelma and Wilma. We've lost two, but at one time had six chickens....Lucy and Ethel, Wilma and Betty, and Thelma and Louise. 7

Keksie Posted April 30, 2022 #56065 Share Posted April 30, 2022 @A&L_Ont That was a wonderful day with Owen. @Ocean Boy Your trip looked relaxing and fun. Glad you are home. @Sea Dog Charlie and Lizzy should heal quickly since they are young. They are probably too big but for small dogs you can also use baby onsies to keep them from getting to incisions. @reallyitsmema That sucks I am glad it wasn't worse! 2

I would call the Captain's Club with your C&A number and have them set it up if not there. You could also try to log into Celebrity and see, at one point passwords were the same between Royal and Celebrity but not sure if they still are. Yes apparently I'm already in the the system because of my email. I put in a new password because I did not know if I had registered before and then when I went back to Royal it said I had the wrong password so I put in the new one for Celebrity and I got in. 3 hours ago, dani negreanu said: 1. Thanks, it definitely could have been worse since the fire truck didn't even realize they hit him. Luckily, the fire truck was not on a call, they were just headed to the DPW yard to gas up the truck. My DH had the window of his truck open and the mirror housing hit him but didn't hurt him. Someone who saw the accident happen, picked up the other pieces of the housing and brought them to were my DH was with the firemen. He said he witnessed it but the police said he could go as it was the fire trucks fault. DH just had to wait around for a while because the lieutenant on the truck had to have the Captain come see it and the police had to do a report. At least everyone is safe and the fire truck wasn't on its way to help someone at the time.

His former owners trained him well. I guess it could have been worse, there were some dogs at the shelter with som really bad names. I would of had to force a change of his name out of wanting to prevent any further embarrassment to them. 🤣🤣 3
