Some good, and some not so good.

Good, as far as the latest scans for our daughter last week.

Not so good, in that our friend, Greg, passed away unexpectedly from complications due to a cardiac event.  He was a musician, and played with several bands in his career.  Very talented on keyboard, brass and vocals.  Susan and I helped out with the funeral dinner.

His funeral was unlike any I had ever been to.  Many of his band members came and played some of his favorites as a tribute.  At the end of the service, a video appeared on the screens of Greg playing and singing  an arrangement that was perfect for the end.  There wasn’t a dry eye in the place, and I guess he got to play at his own funeral.

RIP Greg.  You will be missed.

Glad to hear your daughters scan are good but sorry to hear about your friend.  Sounds like a great send off although bittersweet.

Wonderful news about your daughter's scans last week.

I am so sorry, Susan and Mark, about your dear friend Greg's sudden passing.  It's so hard when someone you love is gone.  He certainly was a very talented musician and entertainer.  May he Rest in Peace.🙏

(((Hugs))) for you and Susan💔

Day 12- 4/6/2024 Today’s itinerary- Mt. Fuji 5th Station & Five-Lake Region

Some facts on the 5th Station & Five-Lake Region-

-There are four climbing trails on different sides of the mountain; each trail is divided into 10 stations with the 1st station at the foot of the mountain and the 10th station being the summit.

-5th Station is located at the elevation of 2,305 meters above sea-level or approx. halfway up the mountain.

-Fuji Five-Lake region is the are at the northern foot of Fujiyama; elevation is 1,000 meters above sea level

Because of today’s cloudy weather, we can only go to the 4th Station.  It seems like we are so high up in the sky but we don’t see Mt. Fuji yet.

Nice photos...thank you for sharing.

That one fork looks deadly.   Is it used for seafood?  Maybe to open an oyster or clam or pick meat out of crabs?

@Jimbo I saw an ice store/house like that in Arkansas.  People going fishing would fill their coolers right from the slide. I guess if one was going to a party would do the same.
