So sorry to hear about your broken ankle, Bonnie.  I hope the pain subsides quickly!  My niece broke her foot and has finally been getting around with the skooter(?) thingy where you rest your leg on it and use your good foot to push you around...I don't think I'm explaining it properly...

Hi Maryann, you described the scooter thingy perfect. 🤩 I know exactly what you mean.

Mask mandate reinstated for our county, Friday at midnight. No end date provided. :classic_sad:

And apparently no one is going to take responsibility for removing the Formica. Home Depot admits it was their contractor's mistake. But they aren't going to do anything to correct it. We will have to find our own contractor to remove it. :classic_rolleyes: Or they will refund the tile materials and labor costs. :classic_sad:

It could be worse, but things aren't going very well.

Our remodel hasn't started yet. Fridge  and Dishwasher came in 2 days ago. I  was one letter off in ordering the Dishwasher, The one I wanted has a pocket handle, the one I got has the bar rail handle.

It was my fault, I had been sending these numbers for appliances back and forth to our designer and just messed up when actually putting in the order.

Shipping it back and paying for restocking fee(-$875.00) would have almost cost the same as what the Dishwasher cost $1117.00...............but the company I bough the dishwasher was super nice..........Offered to send me the one I actually want for only $175 additional to what I paid for the first one.

They don't even want the wrong one sent back to them, told me to keep it and do whatever you want to do with it. The catch is though they want the tag off the inside of the door that has model number  and serial number on it...........This is so if anything goes wrong with the that dishwasher GE doesn't have to fix it for free for the 1-year warranty.

We do have a second kitchen down stairs in the in-law suite in the basement, so we can put the dishwasher with the handle down there and end up with 2 brand new dishwashers in the house.

Two $1117.00   GE Profile Dishwashers for  $1292.00

So it's  a win- win for us I guess  🙂

So very frustrating they won't correct their error and leave you to figure it ourself.   They should take responsibility and fix their mistake.

Sorry to hear mask mandate is coming back in your County.    I think there will be a lot of resistance.

Well, I got my 50lb Weight Loss charm from "Weight Watchers" today!  Oh and there's no backing out now....my family got all of our vaccines verified on our RC app!

Congratulations! 🤩  I'm sure it wasn't an easy task.   If you don't mind me asking, how long did it take?

That's great!   You should be very proud of your accomplishment.  I'm horrible at dieting.

It was way easier than I thought it was going to be.  My mom and I are doing it together and every week we have a competition.  It's like "The Biggest Loser: Home Edition"!

It is, and it doesn't make it seem like you're on a diet at all.  We also do Fitbit competitions, as I volunteer for them, and see who can get the most steps in a day.

I used to do a similar competition with a good friend but then she moved out of my area.   I need to get back to a better, more consistent exercise plan.

Congratulations that's awesome. I've lost 32lbs since my knee replacement. The first 20 I can chalk up to the opioid diet since the pain meds did not make me hungry. Now that I have one good knee and one bad I can at least walk and get on the elliptical. Still need to drop 30-40 more to feel really good.

Keep up the great work!

My DH is still at his wedding weight.  He was chatting to his specialist last week and he said that DH is a rarity for men of his age. Being a cyclist, daily walker of challenging rescue border collies and a non-drinker is the key

DH has to have a colonoscopy next month.  His biggest issue is giving up his Weetbix Hi Bran for breakfast for 7 days.  He has been having it with hot milk every morning for decades.  I actually think he will have withdrawals.

I almost forgot, I got my favorite Hallmark movie on DVD! It's called "Love At Sea" and it was filmed on Harmony Of The Seas! I happen to be an Activity Director on land, which means my job is basically that of a Cruise Director.

The movie tells the story of Olivia, an Event Planner who gets hired with her best friend, Alex, to do a theme cruise. The Cruise Director they've been working with got transferred to Symphony and his Assistant Cruise Director, Tony, gets asked to fill in, and if he does well, he'll get promoted to Cruise Director. He then ends up working with Olivia, so it's how these two dramatically different people work together.

Needless to say, given my love of cruises (this month will be my 24th) and the fact that a character who would be my counterpart is featured, this movie has me written all over it! They had me at "Cruise Director"! A movie featuring my job....yes please!

And yes, I'm currently reading "Love On The Lido Deck", the basis for the movie.
