Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

Recommended Posts

Friday’s jobs. Electricians and plumbers were out to mom’s, thankfully the same company. We laid pipe, for the sump pump and roof down spout.

I had to only patch one sprinkler line. Waiting to do the proper fix after the propane tank and line is prepared for the generator. It isn’t pretty but it isn’t leaking. Final lanscaping will happen in a few weeks.

They are ranked as one of the top places in the country for frozen custard.

A couple pictures from lunch also, from a restaurant on Conneaut Lake.  Chicken Marsala

That looks delicious.  I’d take some custard too.

I was watching Back to the Future III early this morning.

When we stopped for lunch on our travels today, I thought I had gone Back to the Future, when I saw this hanging in the men’s room at the restaurant.

It has been a long time since I have seen one of these posters.

I think every teenage boy had on their bedroom wall.  Was that late 70s or early 80s?

That was mid 70’s when they did that poster.   Hard to believe she would have been 74 this year!

So many trite and cliché sayings have popped into my head during this ordeal. I’ll end with this one: Give you loved ones an extra-long hug each night as you don’t know what the mornings will bring.

Life is Good. Be kind. Peace Out!

I am very sorry, please also be kind to yourself through this.

@A&L_OntWhat do you spray on the weeds where things will grow again or do you not ever plant things there?

They spray depends on what you are trying to accomplish. The spray that was just put on was to kill all growth, basically weeds and grasses. The beans were planted shortly there after.

Sometimes we use a broadleaf spray which would kill certain items but not all, comparable to spraying dandelions but just larger scale.

Apparently my reply didn't go thru.  Sea Dog, Congratulations on your son's major achievement.  Love the shirt.

Andrew, you're a good son!  Your mom's house is lovely.  Love the stone work.  Very inviting.  Your ribs are too! They look amazing.

I was surprised that even though Costco was very busy, with tons of people, I counted only 6 in the store not wearing masks.  Jack and I were all set to go mask less but felt it was only right to join the majority wearing them.  We detected no signage entering but you know Costco.  Entrance very busy with lots of displays.  I really am getting hopeful that before we know it, things will be back to normal.  Gotta have hope!

We went to Costco yesterday. They still have their signs up even though Kansas City lifted their Emergency Order and mask mandate. Everyone in the store was wearing a mask but as soon as you got outside people had discarded their masks all over the parking lot. Come on people! At least pick up your own trash.

Thank you so much. I am really proud of him and he is a good kid. I feel bad that he has to wait to get his graduation present till November 7th when we cruise on Explorer hopefully out of San Juan. It will be his first. He has said he is really excited about it. I hope he will get the bug like Linda and I do and join us on many more.

Thanks again,

Greg Sea Dog

Getting fresh water and solution now. I’m doing the outside sills and screens while Lisa is doing the glass both sides. Almost done the main level.

I did our windows last week.  When I was done, or thought I was done I realized I missed 3 windows in one of the spare bedrooms.  Still havent got back to it yet.

Do you have the tilt windows for your double hungs?  I love ours makes it so easy to do both sides from the inside.

Thank you.  Is it wrong to love a holiday because of the cheesecake??? For those not in the know, dairy products are eaten on this holiday, cheesecake being on top of the list.  Yum.

Courtesy of My Jewish Learning. Cheesecake is a very popular Shavuot item.

Looks delicious.  we love cheesecake in our home🤩

I know...I cannot believe all stores I went to this weekend still had masks on.  I thought everyone would be dancing around so happy to shop maskless again.  I cannot wait to go to at least foodstore with no mask.
