Forgot to say they also asked for "Amount paid directly to the agent and any proof of this as possible" Maybe I should have added a bit for interest accrued!

That's exactly what I had to tell them.

Make clear the deposit you paid as well as the balance paid and total paid because my refund didn't include my deposit so I had to email again and my deposit payment came 4 days later.

Oh, by the way, both my refunds were back on the card today!!!! 

 

Swiftly followed by a message from P&O saying we will receive a cheque within 7 days... 

 

Very pleased, but the incompetence is astounding...

Congratulations Andy, so happy for you and Michelle.

But I really think that P&O customer service should be put out of its misery, and replaced by a fully functioning AI one.

I will do a Bacs, then send you a cheque all in about 90 days. 

You will need to email everyone, get lied to and fobbed off and I will make an announcement after about 60 days quoting unprecedented times.. 

I hope that is OK,.

Andy, that just beggars belief.  I am so pleased for you and Michelle.  Personally we have had a wonderful week.  Got our refunds.  The dog has finally tested negative for heartworm (rescued from Spain) and we have had our chimney repaired by two of the best workmen I have ever come across.

I got stressed about 3 weeks in when I convinced myself nobody would get a refund as the government would change the law, but after that I managed to keep calm.
