Sad day...should be sipping champagne on the Equinox today!

Get you some champagne and sip away and watch some cruise videos and look at some of your past cruises.  It hopefully will give you some great memories to enjoy today.

I think I will do that later, but with a martini that I will   consider being made at the Martini Bar on an S class ship. 🙂

Just thinking of it makes me smile!🙂

We would be following on your heels and boarding on the 21st.

We have kept our roll call active with a daily drink special from the Celebrity Cocktail booklet and discussing future cruise plans.

Here is a wishful thinking drink for you, taken from the back of a Celebrity glass form 2010..... enjoy it at the time you would have sailed away.

🛳️ Bon Voyage 🛳️

1 1/2oz Absolute Vodka

1oz Galliano

1oz Apricot Brandy

3oz Orange Juice

2oz Pineapple Juice

Mix in blender with shaved Ice.

🥂 🛳️ 🏝️🍸

Cheers, heather 😢🥂

So you were to sail the 11 day itinerary? Thank you for the drink , as soon as they open alcohol sales here I'll have to try. You should start a thread for "what's your drown your sorrows in alcohol recipes" 😄

We were supposed to board the Equinox today as well...it hurts every time I think about it. Luggage tags still on the dresser where I put them after I did the luggage tag dance about a month ago.  Would have been going for muster drill soon...wouldn’t even complain about it this time if only I could be on our ship 😢

treehugr- You can't buy liquor in Arizona? The liquor stores here are and have been open all along. We can also buy wine in grocery and drug stores. There was a recent article in our local newspaper about soaring alcohol and medical marijuana sales. I don't have apricot brandy , pineapple juice or Galliano, but I have vodka, OJ and some sparkling pineapple flavored water. Think I'll try that this evening! Cheers.

Would have boarded Infinity today.  Right about now, we'd be looking for an open bar to get that premuster drill cocktail in hand.  We would have already scoped out the casino for the slot games we wanted to play later in the evening, had a leisurely lunch in Luminae, stopped by our stateroom for a look at the sights off the balcony, and stopped by all the dining venues to look at today's menu.  Sad that none of it is to be on this day but looking forward to when we can embark on the next one.  Chin up, everyone!  We will sail again!!!

I wonder how many others are having a sad day... 😞

We were supposed to be boarding our 6 AM flight tomorrow morning for our Reflection cruise on Monday.

We would have just landed in Atlanta connecting through to Fort Lauderdale. See you at the Virtual Sunset Bar at Sailaway

Still have all our stuff sitting on the dresser as well. Our friends sailing with us actually got luggage tags a couple of days ago. Looked earlier it was still on the planner.

We were meant to leave for the airport in a few minutes to fly to Vancouver,  then board the Eclipse tomorrow on our way to Hawaii. :classic_sad:

Definitely feel for you. Hawaii is a bucket list vacation for my wife and I.

Just realized I never changed in my profile. We moved to Vero Beach a year ago after 35 years in Phoenix. Funny, I was at Sam's yesterday and the liquor store was closed. Had 4 squad cars with lights in front of though...someone obviously couldn't take it anymore 😄. My wife would like your flavored water concoction 😄 .

Was on the Equinox 4 weeks ago (last cruise before they shut down operations due to Covid19).  I left her in good shape for you, much preferred the ship to social distancing at home.

Be thankful for the cruises you’ve been on and the ones you will take in the future.  For now, be thankful you are home and safe.

Well by now our canceled trip would have been a great memory and we'd be thinking about next year already.  We had bags packed and next to the door for our March 14th trip on the Summit, when we got the call at 4:00PM on the 13th that everything was suspended.

So for our intended departure day we had 8 friends over, had 2 bottles of Celebrity Vintage Sparkling Wine that we had taken them home from our last cruise on ice, greeted everyone at the door and handed them a tall flute of bubbly as they came across the threshold.  We listened to music, chatted and watched the sun set then we feasted on a buffet of pasta, fried chicken, shrimp cocktails, a mini taco bar and a couple different vegetable options.  It was all capped off with brownies served with ice cream and hot fudge.  The wine cellar got "flung open" and some really good wine got consumed, (maybe I should have held some of it back) the bar was open and we did it all wearing shorts!    No one even got an evil eye, or was reminded long pants will be required starting the next day.

Wasn't the same as we had planned or expected for that night, but still an evening of fond memories we'll look back on and smile.  Who knows, maybe we even convinced a few of those friends to come try out the cruise life with us next Spring Break.

Cheers to you all and turn your lemons into lemonade 🍷🍹🥂

I want to cruise with you some day...or at least be at the cancellation gathering. Despite the cruise cancellation, it sounds like you had a great time...doesn't get any better than that!
