How about LASER - light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation (I think)

That is an acronym that actually became a word😉

Like SCUBA

Self contained underwater breathing apparatus

FUBAR

Fouled Up Beyond All Reason/Repair.

Military term when things are really bad or not going as planned. A few words are typically substituted.

M8

Was explained in Saving Private Ryan, last word was recognition.

No.Since you are “reaching” I will tell you.

Mental Patients Liberation Front. When I was in college and majoring in Psychology my Abnormal Psych class went to a lecture by the MPLF.It was this belief that many of the people in insane asylums (as they were referred to at the time) were actually quite sane and the MPLF was an advocate for these people.

Yes,see my post below.I did not read your response until after I posted.

The MPLF was a very militant organization for many years.

I didn't answer originally, but then googled it and found the funniest one.

Yeah we don't do self assist, but every cruise it looks very crowded and I don't see luggage accomplishing "social distancing".  But then I don't see social distancing helping or working in any way on a cruise ship, it will just be for show to convince authorities to let them go.

So you are seeing people standing on other people's bags???  Wow, that must be a sight.

Given that bags take space, comparing having a bag to not having one, it's a nice space that has to be there.

Chaos is chaos if people have bags or they don't.  At least having a bag makes you distant from whoever is behind you by at least the bag.  Better than nothing, but probably  not good enough.

We've been doing self assist for a LONG time, but you don't have to be first to do it- we are generally last. But w/o a tag to go to get, you can get off whenever you want.  Like when crowds are low.

On an editorial note- it's funny how many people rush to be first on the ship and first off.  We don't.  I don't find it relaxing to be in a big group of people as they board the ship, and I don't find it relaxing to get up at 5am to be the first off.

Whatever.  I'm sure the extra 14" due to luggage will accomplish a lot toward "social distancing" and virus prevention.

They could have several muster drills.  Just assign a time and note it on the card.  Hey,🙂 they might even be able to do them inside; perhaps in the theater with spaced seating and no one would need to stand outside in the sweltering heat.

Never understood why Royal packed passengers in like sardines for muster.  Haven't been on Celebrity since 2016 but their muster drills were spread out throughout the ship in dining room, theater, lounges.  No one had to stand outside.  When we sailed Harmony in November 2019 we were packed in/standing in the deck where the shops are and could not see or hear a thing.  Waste of time.

Oasis class ships, which includes Harmony.... are spread out through the ship as well.  We always seem to get Promenade for our area...which I would rather have than the sardines packed on open deck on smaller ships.

We haven’t stood outside on Oasis Class ships. Sometimes in Aqua theater in the heat but were sitting down.

We had AT for Allure. I wanted to do it from our balcony, but was over ruled.😉

All of our recent Celebrity cruises the muster drill was in the theater for our muster location. However we have talked with others on the same cruises that their muster station was in Michales Club (pre revolution) and The Retreat Lounge (post revolution) and it was way over crowed and most had to stand during the stupid muster drill video.

Our Summit muster was in the Casino.
