Are Pinnacle Club members allowed into the Suite Lounge on Oasis?

The issue is not the number of Suite Guest but the high numbers of Pinnacles on certain cruises who have a way of taking over the amenities for Suite Guests in SL/CK.

Ahhh I see.  Never been an issue for me?  Whenever I walk in everyone leaves!

I have NEVER said or suggested that Pinnacles in a Suite shouldn’t have all the same amenities as every other Suite guest plus their Pinnacle perks.

I know several Pinnacles that book Suites and a couple that book Star Class.

Never said that either...where did I say that?  🤔

My point was...as some suite guests in the SL/CK get miffed looking around at all the Pinnacles they see wearing pins...how do they know which ones are in a suite or not?

Do they stand on the table as ask in a loud voice, "OK...how many of you pin wearers are in suites?"  😏

This has been fun.  We should do this again next month in another thread.

Ah yes...miss those days long before "The Vaccine, Covid 19, Do we need the vaccine proof to board, side effects of the Vaccine, taking too long to get the Vaccine, Wearing masks on the ship"...etc..etc.

My next cruise (if it sails) is on Oasis so I guess I will see firsthand. I am in a GS but I will also wear my pin. 😊

See you on board.... I am in B2B OS on next Harmony, and B2B CLS on one after that. 🙂

If it sails in May I'm in Star but I'm not holding my breath waiting for a Genie to contact me.  Still, the notion of being able to think about wearing my pin in the SL or for a CK breakfast warms my heart.

Wear it proudly my Dear, wear it proudly!!  😉

Yes we were but it shouldn’t matter if we booked a Full Suite. Lots of Suite Guests unable to get a reservation in CK for dinner ALL week. We had a reservation for CK and were NEVER seated for our reservation time. Once as long as 45 minutes late. There was NO SEATS available in SL on boarding day. Seldom was there any seat available in the SL when happy hour started. Lots of seat saving. Just sad for Suite Guests.

Look. I believe Pinnacle’s deserve to have their own lounge and exclusive dinning area. It just shouldn’t be in the SL & CK.

I can assure all the Pinnacles I saw were not ALL in Suites. Eliminate Pinnacles (not staying in full Suite) from SL/CK and it will be easy to tell who is in a Suite. 😇

I like this but a little off topic. I have always said benefits, amenities, and status should be rewarded based on $ spent with ALL aspects with Royal. Every $ spent with Royal should be recognized. From Cabin, Excursions, Casino, Speciality Dinning, Gift Shop, Park West, Drinks/Drink Package, VOOM, etc. A dollar is a dollar and some form of points for each $ spent.

Spent 12 days on Allure one year ago.

First time I ever wore a lanyard.

STAR/Pinnacle/Prime 😎

Wore my Pinnacle name tag as well

What I didn't do was go to SL or CK, no reason

@twangster is correct though. Suites alone can overwhelm the CK/SL on Oasis.

And @Milwaukee Eight is also correct. On 'some' sailings, Pins overwhelm the facilities.

In my often stated opinion, the real problem is that CK wasn't designed for folks to eat every meal. It was a Dynamic Dining venue that has suffered under its success. I'm pretty sure when Royal invited the JS's and Pins to use it, they only counted on people eating there two or three times. And that includes suites

Personally, I have never had a problem getting CK reservations.  We like suites and are a long way from pinnacle.  Most of the pins I have met have been very friendly.  A few less than others, but the same can be said of any group.  I would never want to go on the President’s cruise, I don’t like crowds.

You have to book a suite and pay full price to get suite pts, or double suit pts you mention.

Not sure about RoyalUp.  I have never had a RoyalUp but with casino comp upgrades you absolutely DO get all of the points and privileges of being in a suite.  There was a brief spat that occurred maybe 5 years ago; Royal tried to cut out the double points for casino upgrades and the Club Royale members grabbed our pitch forks and stormed the castle.  After about 3 days, Royal changed the policy back so that casino upgrades = double points.

Of course, they could reverse that decision any time, but I STILL have the email announcement that came out from Royal when they reversed their decision BACK to double points....just in case they "accidentally" forgot that they/we changed their minds.

Edited to add:  I just reviewed that email.  The date of that casino suite upgrade points skirmish was 4/20/18 so it hasn't been quite 3 years now.  Seemed like longer.  LOL

Pinnacle not wearing pin....are they in a full suite?  Are they in JS or less?  Most casual observers would simply assume they were in a suite.  And they would never know unless they asked them, or knew them...just assuming they were a member of the elite "suite" club).  😮  (Ring any bells here...only Rose and Molly Brown knew for sure about Jack " they simply assumed he was a member of the club).  😉

Pinnacle wearing a pin....are they in a suite, are they in JS and below?

To the casual observer...how do you REALLY know?

What I think is silly are the ones who assume too much.

Bottom line is Pinnacles and full suites are allowed in, unless it is one of the typical cruises that are Pinnacle heavy, RCI won't pay extra to have an extra lounge for just the Pinnacles.  You have to set up waiters, bartenders, Concierge, not to mention use of a lounge taken from general passengers.  You need enough Pinnacles tipping these people to make it worth while for them.

Now don't get me wrong, I would adore a Pinnie only lounge, as long as it is feasible.  But it isn't most of the time...so far anyway.

RCI:  Their house...their rules.  I just visit and follow what is set forth.  😉

@ourusualbeach do you get suite loyalty pts with royal up.

I'm not asking about suite perks. I said with royalup I was told you don't get the extra loyalty pt.

She says casino upgrades get them. RoyalUp probably it's own rules

It's not my/our job to figure this out.  Royal can.  When I have seen it work, the concierge had a list of the suite guests and cleared the lounge of all but them.  After the first two or three nights, no problems.

No suite points unless you did a Royal Up from a suite. So, if you already were in a Junior suite or above and upgraded your suite through Royal Up, you still get the suite points from your original Junior Suite or above.
