Are Pinnacle Club members allowed into the Suite Lounge on Oasis?

Retinking this Pinnacle limited access.

As @Cigar King said, variable would open it up to interpretation.  So that's probably to hard.

You could create a hard line of points.

1050, 1400, 1750, etc.. Just pick one

Let the membership know and be done with it.

I just don't think you can make it change from one sailing to the next. Pins have expectations as well, that's life

It’s like I said, very hard to undo a perk.

If I was a Pinnacle and didn’t book a Suite and was accustomed to having unlimited access to SL/CK on Oasis class ships, I would be upset with losing access. Similar to booking a Suite an unable to enjoy the amenities we paid for.

We have a suite next year on Symphony.  We will probably still get the UDP and doubt we will even make it to CK for dinner.  Breakfast and lunch do sound good.

I wonder how much money they would be out if they offered a discounted UDP to Suite Guests?  Maybe that would help with the crowd.  :classic_huh: We got that on Symphony and really enjoyed it.  DH likes the breakfast at CK.  But, for lunch he probably ate his fill of Playmakers hamburgers and wings, Sorrento's and El Loco Fresh.  So, we didn't spend much time in CK this trip.  Had to drag him away from the bar on the Suite Deck, however... :classic_biggrin:

The SL on boarding day is very nice and it did get a bit crowded.  During the day when I went in to read, it wasn't too bad.  At night we had dinner at a Specialty and also had the drink package so not sure how crowded it got.  I don't remember the Allure being all that crowded when we sailed on her.  That space seemed larger though.

Perhaps I am not understanding or appreciating the nuances.  The CL allows entry to D+, Pinnacles and suite guests.  The SL restricts entry to suite guests only.  I don't see that Pinnacles have SL access as a benefit.  Essentially, if Pinnacles are restricted from the SL lounge, then this would be an enforcement of the rule and not removal of a benefit.  This would be no different than restricting entry to guests of suite guests.  Under the current "rules" if Pinnacles are allowed to access the SL because of their years of loyalty, then it would be a similar argument to say that suite guests should be allowed to bring in non-suite guests since they've paid for access to the lounge.

As a side note, I hadn't appreciated that one of the perqs for members of Casino Royale's Master Tier is access to the SL for themselves and everyone in their room (i.e., they do not need to be sailing in a suite).

This is just kicking the can down the road.  Royal needs to make up their mind, and put dollars in place to support their decisions, on how they want to treat their suites guests and their more loyal customers.  They need to quit trying to satisfy both with one solution.

I've never seen anyone suggest that somehow having Pinnacle status should not allow you to utilize suite benefits when you are staying in a suite.

The number of suite guests is somewhat of a constant, regardless of their status.  The number of Pinnacles (or D+ in the CL case) is the variable and that variable is both highly elastic and growing.

And I agree with you.   You quoted me on my one single line of "those that assume too much".

I never questioned or quoted you on that.  Can you, or can you not .....agree with me that there are suite guests that simply see a Pinnacle pin and assume they are not in a suite...but instead in a JS or lower and taking up "their lounge space"?

That was simply my point....don't assume.

Guess I am simply tired of the animosity towards Pins.

RCI's rules and allowances...their choice, not yours...not mine.

I’ve never said Pinnacles were “pesky”. I have an issue when the SL/CK is too crowded. There are times when Royal needs to address the situation. I have many friends who are Pinnacle.

Why you keep going in this direction is beyond me. SMH

Remember when I told John..."don't get him started".  😉   "Too late" I believe was the answer.

Huge fan of boarding day lunch. Probably the only one that is crowded.

Chicken sandwich is good, hot fries, flatbreads.

Burgers are hit or miss. Laura likes the salmon.

Oasis does it best, Harmony is bad from day 5 on

Huge fan of CK on embarkation day for lunch.   Not only a quiet place to enjoy a nice lunch, but someplace to drop our carry on bags as well.   🤗  That comped glass of wine and a beer goes nicely with that as well.  😉

But I never have said Pinnacles are “pesky” or anything bad. You keep trying to make it look that way and it’s not true. I don’t bash Pinnacles.

Why boarding day lunch?  This will be our first time in CK and I'm waffling over where to have lunch on boarding day.

Teeara...meet Bucky and I in CK for lunch in Barcelona!  You will see why.  Relaxed lunch, no dragging your carry on around, or trying to stuff them under the table in the WJ.    🙂

Show and tell.

Show me where I specifically quoted you and accused YOU of calling Pinnacles "Pesky".  That is simply a term some Pinnacles use for themselves.  I know of a few that call themselves that with a "wink..wink".   I think it's cute.  Kind of like calling Pinnacles "Pineapples".

No, of course not.. You don't bash Pinnacles, au contraire...you just want them kicked out of the suites lounge.  But that is not your call...it's RCI to make that call.  Once again...and again..."their house, their rules and allowances".  😏

Spent 12 days on Allure one year ago.

First time I ever wore a lanyard.

STAR/Pinnacle/Prime 😎

Wore my Pinnacle name tag as well

What I didn't do was go to SL or CK, no reason

@twangster is correct though. Suites alone can overwhelm the CK/SL on Oasis.

And @Milwaukee Eight is also correct. On 'some' sailings, Pins overwhelm the facilities.

In my often stated opinion, the real problem is that CK wasn't designed for folks to eat every meal. It was a Dynamic Dining venue that has suffered under its success. I'm pretty sure when Royal invited the JS's and Pins to use it, they only counted on people eating there two or three times. And that includes suites

We ate there a few times which was enough.  We picked the good menu nights!

Many years ago, Ds had access to the CL.   Then they didn't.

Fast forward to cruise ships that still have a CL, and were still listed as a CL just before Covid shut them down.  Now it's D+ that no longer have access.  Pinnacles and full suites only.

Now.....what's next?

LOL...problem solved. 🤗

It's just CK that I enjoy anyway.   We have never spent much time in the SL.  A bit too stuffy for us.  And I remember the furniture in the SL on Oasis...kind of "early American garage sale"  Very uncomfortable.

We sit for a bit at the bar for a wine/beer mid afternoon, coming back from a port visit.  Maybe sit a few minutes at the bar,  if having to wait for our reserved table in CK.  But otherwise.  No...not a comfy place for us.  😉

I stand by what I have said.

You are correct. And since your brought it up, “their house, their rules”, seems remedial reading is in order.

These apply to C&A

21. General Terms & Conditions

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. has the right to terminate the Crown & Anchor Society Program (“the Program”) or to change the Terms and Conditions of participation and benefits, in whole or in part; at any time without notice.

And until this happens?  You will have to put up with Pesky Pinnacles in the Suites Lounge.  😄 😄  Poor you.  😉

I "assume" human nature being what it is, this is likely a true statement.  I fail to see why my agreement to this is needed.

I think boarding day is going to be different when we finally start back up.  We almost always have lunch in Chops but with boarding delayed until after Chops has already closed its lunch, that is probably not going to happen - at least for a while.  I'm not sure there's going to be anywhere except perhaps the WJ to have lunch on embarkation day anymore.  ...and if it's 3:00 when I board, I don't dare eat ANY lunch or I will not be able to eat any dinner.

If boarding starts at 3:00. I doubt any meal will be offered.

Both Harmony and Symphony SL/CK are larger than the one on Oasis/Allure
