They were pre-covid...they had them in the WJ on occasion as well.

They did have a daily cold soup for our first couple of Royal cruises.  The last 6 or 7 they only seemed to offer a cold soup one night.Who knows now?  Maybe they froze one a week for the last 15 months and will thaw one daily for awhile.  I am not a cold soup fan, but my Wife and our Son always pick one when offered.  I would love to get the opportunity to report the current menu.  If they decide to not cancel one of our bookings. Sigh!

The chilled soups are among my favorite appetizers.  Love the chilled Lychee.  All the better if they taste like melted ice cream.

Somebody posted in another thread, maybe the Real Food thread, that he enjoyed them with vodka after every meal.  I was thinking "genius"!

The latest menu revision pre-Covid had eliminated many of the cold fruit soups from the main dining room menus, but we always enjoyed the berry soup and the peach soup from the old menus. As mentioned above, you can always ask and they may appear at a later dinner.

I have had some success with asking.  I love the fruit soups, but have been eating differently on a low carb plan, so may not even try for them on my next cruise.  (Fingers crossed for November 2021.)

And the only "shot" discussed was a rum or vodka add-on to the fruit soup. 🍹🍓🥣

I always enjoyed them but having dessert before the main course seemed wrong.

On our last couple of cruises pre Covid, I saw the chilled soups on the menus only once or twice. They're still around, just not as often as in the past.
