dkksk Posted July 15, 2021 #1 Share Posted July 15, 2021 My DW and I have 11 Celebrity cruises under our belt. All in the Caribbean. The MDR menus have pretty much been the same . We're currently booked on a cruise from Venice in May 2022. Just wondering if the MDR menus on that cruise will be the same as the Caribbean cruises? Rare cruisestitch Posted July 15, 2021 #2 Share Posted July 15, 2021 Menus are the same fleetwide, with a few special additions on edge class ships as nod to the 4 dining rooms.
Rare Jim_Iain Posted July 15, 2021 #3 Share Posted July 15, 2021 Some times (rarely) they have a special menu item with a local flare but 99% of the time it's the same menu regardless of location of the ship.
Rare DENIE Posted July 16, 2021 #4 Share Posted July 16, 2021 Our experience on 3 cruises - Pacific Coastal, ABC Islands, and Mediterranean...have all been the same menus. This is speaking from 2017 through 2019, though. However, it was all good. We did not mind the repetition.

The menus on the app for our upcoming cruise look the same as from our Dec. 2018 cruise. A few minor changes but basically the same.
qoap24 Posted July 23, 2021 #7 Share Posted July 23, 2021 We are booked to cruise in September for the first time on X. I downloaded the app and see that there are menus posted for each day of our cruise. Does anyone know if the menus on the app are the actual menus for the week of travel? LadyBerard Posted July 23, 2021 #8 Share Posted July 23, 2021 Can someone please post the menu in the main dining room on night 1? We are booked to go to the Tuscan Grille that night, and if the menu in the main dining room has anything I'd really love, we may cancel that reservation. As I recall, they usually have prime rib on the first night.

It may not be true for everyone, but we are not able to see all the information. It looks like the "pages" are truncated. CRUZN-IS-FUN Posted July 23, 2021 #15 Share Posted July 23, 2021 Speaking of menus--we are on a 13 day to the Mediterranean. While very seasoned cruisers, we are Celebrity newbies. Are there any MUST HAVES or SHOULD AVOIDS we should know about?
sunonfire Posted July 26, 2021 #16 Share Posted July 26, 2021 I have seen postings for other cruise lines stating that the menus are only available on the cruise line app to cut down on handling the menus. Does any one know if Celebrity is doing that?
Honeybadger418 Posted July 27, 2021 #17 Share Posted July 27, 2021 I wonder if there will be an Indian menu available like there was on the Millenium Alaska sailing!
pumpkin 11 Posted July 27, 2021 #18 Share Posted July 27, 2021 I agree, they need to be updated. Steak Diane was on the menu a month ago, there was some talk that it was taken off but that didn't hold true.

canderson Posted August 8, 2021 #23 Share Posted August 8, 2021 My recollection is that X ships MDR menus operated on a 14 day rotation. For those ships that did regular weekly (7 night) cruises, that made the menu more predictable for '1st night' (it was going to be one of two options, depending upon the week), but not for any other itineraries that didn't keep landing on the 14 day boundaries. You'd have to know exactly where they were in the rotation to be certain.

On our Equinox cruise, we had expected aged prime rib or a filet the first night. Was not the case which was surprising. The prime rib was on the 2nd night.
