from John facebook page. It seems kinda of expensive but it is similar pricing compare to other attractions on cruise lines ships like NCL go karts

Is that $15 pp, or $15 for the pair of riders?

$15 pp is too high, IMHO for the novelty (of course, I'm not a big roller coaster fan, and I KNOW FOR SURE Cheryl would not ride with me)!

NCL go karts are $10 I think?  (seems like more fun too)

Hmm... I mean I'd pay for my son and I then 30 dollars... I'd do it once to try it but it wouldn't be a regular thing. How long will it last? Three minutes tops- maybe not even that long. I had heard early on the price tag of 5 dollars being thrown around (no it wasn't official, lol) but that seems more reasonable to me for that sort of ride. I'd do it once though.

I would also do it once at that price.  Hey, we have plenty of OBC.

$15 per cabin or PP all day makes more sense.

A single ride, that small?

No thanks

Oh, you know you make a good point here- it could be an all day ticket. That seems a lot more reasonable, though it depends how long the line ends up being. I've wondered from the start just how many people on the super massive liner were actually going to get a chance to ride- can they run more than one bike at a time? Seems pretty limited- the bicycle thing on Vista could accommodate two at a time and that still took two hours in line. I did it once and was like okay I did it- not again with that wait, lol.

Two hours in line? !

I'd throw in the towel after 5 minutes. 😲

HA HA HA! Well, I never did it again but my son was just dying to try it- it was the big thing you know, lol. But I seriously doubted my decision making skills by the end of that line. Somehow we kept convincing ourselves that it might somehow speed up.

Supply and demand. Whatever people are willing to pay, is what it will cost. If it was free, the lines would be nuts. I have a feeling once it gets past the initial hype, it drops below $15. I wouldn't doubt that the price even fluctuates, depending on the time of day, port days, etc.

Just some perspective. You pay thousands to cruise. 15 bucks a drink, blow money in casino and a 15 dollar coaster ride is where the line gets drawn? Lmao! Lets be real. Everything is overpriced top to bottom. Lets not say its the coaster that did it for you. Just sayin, kind of rediculous

1 Bolt ride vs JiJis or Cucina for dinner?  Easy choice for this adult.

Agree except 1. there is no JiJi's on Mardi Gras. You have Chibang! instead and 2. both Cucina and Chibang! are free for the "foreseeable future" so that frees up said $15 dinner upcharge.

It's 15.00 pp and you get 2 laps.  You control the speed of your car and it will go up to 40 MPH.   Reservations are made through the HUB app and you get a half hour window to show up.  So it won't be a 2 hour wait like the Sky Bike on the Vista Class ships.

Not really.  If a person likes to drink and is willing to pay the $15, that's their prerogative.  If riding on the Bolt isn't that interesting to them, then not spending the $15 to ride it is also their choice.  How many times have you seen something that you were interested in buying until you found out what it cost?  Then, all of a sudden it wasn't something that you really wanted after all.

To elaborate - I'd throw in the towel after 5 minutes if I realized it was a two hour wait!

I waited over a hour in a pretty high wind for the sky ride. We had a stormy cruise though. They closed the line right after I got on by myself. Lol I got around the first bend and hit that wind with the car swinging and was omg I'm not sure I can do this. Then I realized no choice and said the car has swung before and never fallen but it was swinging from side to side a lot imo. Enough to shut it down. I was the last one allowed on.

In the utube videos it's near the port and you see the port and someone is hanging there on a calm day. Different hanging out over the water when it's really windy. .. I only went once. I told myself in sept to do it again on a calm day, lol but it will be hurricane weather. Not doing it in wind again.

BOLT seats two people.

For some clarification:

> Does it always go with two, or can just one person ride it?

> I understand it's $15 for two runs. Must those runs be back to back, or can you take your second ride at a later time (not that someone would want to, I'm just curious as to the process).

And, I agree, nothing like imposing a fee to have a less crowded experience (thinking of specialty dining and the like here).  🙂
