Shareholder benefit very slow process

Shareholder benefit: Are others having problems getting their credits added? I have been waiting over a month. I called once and was told they are way behind and it will take two weeks. She said that without knowing who I was or when I made the request. I do have time since my first of my B2B on Nov 20.

I applied for mine in JUNE this year for a cruise we are taking on the 30th of this month.  Despite 7 e-mail requests and 10 telephone calls in which I have waited 60 minutes each time without reply I am no nearer to receiving my shareholder benefit.

I have tried to find the CEO's email address to no avail and have now decided to take copies of all my e-mails and other evidence on to the ship and will be joining the queue at the pursers desk to sort it out.

I am also taking a quick Royal Caribbean cruise and received my shareholder credit in 2 days. Not sure if with Princess since I emailed my request instead of fax - that makes a difference?

YMMV, but here's my data point:

I submitted my request for my December 2021 and March 2022 sailings on October 7. Nothing posted by October 15, so I called the phone number (800 872 6779 ext. 30317) listed on the information sheet that day. After about 15 minutes on hold, the phone agent went and searched for my submission and applied the credits for both voyages.

Can I ask - did you fax your request or email?

Learned this when I first starting faxing my request at Staples (didn't own a fax machine)...write down the sending fax #, the date & the time. That's how they track the request.

Hi I had a similar problem and as we sail in 10 days decided to ring again. This time I left my mobile on speaker phone and just carried on with other things at home. After one hour and 20 mins someone answered and my obc was completed and on my account within the hour.

like you I had had no joy with emails and several other phone calls which I gave up on after an hour.

Not sure what is going on in UK office as no one seems to answer the phone….it took 35 mins for someone to answer when I was trying to book a cruise direct with Princess UK.

Never been like this before.

I’ll count myself lucky. I emailed in my request and had it posted within a week or two. I never received a confirmation; it just appeared. I thought it might be more complicated as the shares are held in a custodial account for my son, but there were no problems at all.

Recently mine is loaded the same day (yes, it falls off when refaring and I just did that yesterday). If it's not on by Tuesday, I'll call.

PVP emailed me at 7:14am that she was getting it put back on. And there it is!!

Same thing happened to us.   Cruise is November 10th.  Lady said, they are running @ least 2 weeks & that they are way over loaded.    This has never happened to us.  I was faxing. It seemed she had a hard time finding it.  She finally did find it & put it on for me.

Getting Casino OBC (not Freeplay,)  on the promos has been a nightmare.

Snail mailed my paperwork the first week of Oct. because we get quarterly statements and the previous one was old. Checked yesterday and the credit was there. I was surprised since I’m sure I lost a few days with the snail mail. I was too lazy to figure out what wires to plug in to change our copier to a fax and I didn’t want to hunt for the email address on cruise critic; thus, the snail mail.

Mine was added without delay here in the UK. It's been applied to a cruise I won't take until July 2022 too.

I had my Enchanted 2020 and 2021 cruises cancelled but paid the balance for the 2021 24 hours before it was cancelled. I took the offer of a replacement cruise on Regal and also had all my accumulated OBC moved over with no issues!

Is it perhaps because we don't need to fax our shareholder proof here in the UK?

I just called this number as my OBC had somehow fallen off my booking.  I think my travel agent had applied something extra to my booking which prompted the shareholder's credit to disappear.  No harm, though ...

As stated, I called the number you provided and it was answered immediately!  Then, the nicest woman, Alda, added it onto not only my cruise that is coming up but also onto one for next March.  Yoohoo!!

She did make note that they are very backed up but she was so pleasant and willing to help.
